I am not sure which old MK game it was, but one of the earlier ones had a cheat code you could activate that would allow for one button fatalities and other such finishers. I personally loved this feature since sometimes you ran out of time and couldn't finish them in the cool style everyone loves... or nothing is worse than thinking you do the combo right and you just end up punching them and knocking them down because you did the combo wrong. SO, what do people think of the one button finishers? I am not saying that is how it should always be done, but it is nice as an unlock or a cheat so you have the option to do it....
And please, this is just a talk, please spare me the noob comments or get good... I can pull off the combos... but sometimes its nice just to push A and get to see the finisher... or all of them mapped to a different button. I don't know enough about all the MK games to know if this feature was in all of them, but I know it was in one or two... and will it be in MK10? anyone know?

I still like to use the entire command, but I think that I am a bit old to memorize those now. Probably I will use those shortcut.
Funny that I still remember every command of MK1, 2, 3 and 4.

Not fussed about them. The fatality commands are nowhere near as difficult in the newer games, mainly because we have a lot more time to do them. So the one button finishers will probably just be used when I'm feeling lazy.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy had a 1 button fatality code, anyway I don't really care how one inputs them, I will probably do regular inputs but its not like we will be able to tell how somebody does them when playing online anyway lol

MK3 Cheat menu had one button finishers, the buttons changed for UMK3 as Brutalities were added.

Haven't used 1 Button Fatalities since MK4 lol. They were annoying to do on a N64 controller
Back on topic, I'll use em whenever I get lazy but that's about it.

They are an unlimited amount of them in the Krypt you just have to wait for it to re-spawn if you get enough every character will have an easy fatality forever. At least I think they do by me watching some people use it over and over again.
I always liked easy fatalities but if I get bored of it I will try to learn them myself.

That's cool with me. my friends tend to not play MK games as much as me and they struggle with fatalities. especially when we play at parties. :-/

Fatalities are not secret information anymore. The commands were a secret code for bragging rights in the past. In the present the inputs are already on the Internet before the game is even out... Being overcomplicated is pointless. Some complex brutalities would be ok though imo. Something only the good player can pull off throughout the entire match.

Bring back the old brutalities where you had to input a long button string to get a finisher.
Those took some real skill. At least compared to fatalities.

I don't need them. The codes are easy enough already, and I don't really want to do finishing moves in the first place.

I prefer the old MK1-UMK3 style, but if someone else wants them that is fine with me.

Okay, so I guess my next question is, do they have anything like this in MKX? I have been away from the MK scene for a long time, but will be getting this on next gen console because it looks great... looking forward to getting back into the game (and I liked Injustice). I just didn't know if one button finishers and such were even possible in the new game.... if they are, how are they done... with a code or something you unlock?

I'm actually kind of fucked off right now. I usually stick up for NRS , but I feel really mislead right now.
We were told easy fatalities were unlocked in the Krypt, NOT TOKENS.
I can't believe they want to charge you real money to buy easy fatalities. They should have just had you unlock each easy fatality separate.
Really fucked up move on WB's part, which I'm assuming is mostly responsible for this shit.
