I would definitely be up for Mavado returning. Just get him a better Fatality.

Sadly he is in the deadpool list but he might have a chance at being a DLC character.

hive him a different weapon other than Hookswords. Give him a weapon that's still in that outlandish territory though.

Movado to me was one of those characters who had great potential and was shunned because of his move set. Get rid of the hook swords and give him a good story. Since the red dragon have ties with Shinnok I'd have him be sent by Daegon to assist him. Have him not trust Quan Chi because of an alliance he could make with Kano, and then find out that Quan Chi has plans to betray Shinnok. And have Movado be the one to inform Shinnok of Quan Chi's plan.


Basically if he's in give him more in depth story instead of wanting to kill off every black dragon around.

I wonder if they're ever going to bring back his beta look either for him or for a future character. I've always thought the look was unique for Mortal Kombat.

His character wasn't that bad if you overlook him having the hookswords. I will agree that he should have a new weapon. I would like for him to return whenever that is.

Yeah, just give him different weapons (or no weapons at all) and he'd be good to go, in my eyes. I always found his grapple hooks to be a fun concept.

I wasn't a Mavado fan! Not because im a Kano fan, but I think they really dropped the ball with Mavado. The Sub story of The Black Dragon breaking away from the Red Dragon was great. It gave Kano and The Black Dragon more substance IMO.

So would i want Mavado back for a possible return?
Im on the fence with the Idea. If they were to revamp him like how the did Kano (cause now he is catching peoples eye) then i would be more up for the idea.

But an idea i have, from the picture that Kano finally faces off with Mavado and kills him believing he has ending the Red Dragon. but the NEW character is another Leader of the Red Dragon, someone who has picked up were Mavado left off...his son! Young and just as vicious!

Or another Leader in training in case something like this happened!

I think that neatherrealm should build up Mavado before throwing in his child. I wouldn't want him and his child in the same game because if no one cares about Mavado then no one would care about his child. If they revive his character so that people start liking him then maybe in the next game they could put his child in.

I think even the worst characters could be salvaged with enough innovation. Mavado and the Red Dragon have potential, its all a matter of whether or not Nether Realm wants to capitalize on that potential.

Personally, I'd be all for Mavado returning if they revisited his original concept of having a Spanish inspired matador look. He could have a really interesting design, a new weapon, new fatalities, new specials....he could work!! Personally, I'd like to see a fencer in the series, and I think Mavado would fit that bill pretty well.

Mavado was the best post UMK3 character so yea I'd like to see him back.

I really liked his original character design when he was first shown, he was more spanish looking and had his hair attached at the back. They should go back to that imo.

Like most of the new DA characters, I think he's a good design that didn't translate too well in game. His moves were pretty bad, I hated the elastic ropes. So if he where to return, I think they should rebuilt his move set from scratch.

Theres a lot more characters i want before him. I always thought he was bland as hell. Yay a white male with black hair and black clothes. Thats sonething we never saw before in a video game. His weapon was stolen from Kabal and his specials were dumb. He did have a decent story though. I feel like if he did return, he would be so different that you might as well call him something else. I want to see him in the comic. If he somehow makes it into the game, i wouldnt be totally against it, but i dont think he is necessary.

It's time to revisit these underrated characters and give them the tlc others have been shown.

Mavado is great!

I am not against giving Mavado a fresh incarnation. He was not bad, just not polished/developed enough.

A bullfighter-like character would not fit into the MK universe whatsoever, so it was good that the design was scrapped.

However, if NRS wanted to ditch the Red Dragon angle and revive this gimmick, he could be in charge of that big beastly creature in the Outworld marketplace, but I guess that's not to be now.

Personally I think all characters have potential to increase their chances of returning, even Hsu Hao. All they would need is a more fleshed out back story and more focus on them.

I would be fine with him coming back. In MKDA you knew he was a villain but to me, he had this sense of mystery to him and was a character I just didn't know what to make of but eventually came around to really like him. However, With this fanbase? Fuck I doubt it.

I couldn't stand him at first, but I grew to like the guy just a tad. Moveset is meh but story isn't all that bad.

I just won't be holding my breath, plus, there's at least 15 characters I'd want before him.

Mavado is the last character that pops up in your head when someone says MK.
