I like the first two ideas. Less is more in my book. Too bad though that I have a feeling that WB is going to see to it we aren't getting an MK9

I have one more to add though:

The cover should show the Edenian Desert and the Pyramid with the dead bodies of people who have died in Armageddon. A good title with this, like what someone said in another forum, is Mortal Kombat: Extinction. This will show who won't make it in MK9.

Any particular reason you feel this way? Lest we forget, Warner Bros. is a business and businesses like making money. Which ties in neatly with MK's tendency to sell pretty well.

As for covers, I like #3.

I'd like the idea of a cat fight, well just because its a cat fight. I would have to go with Kitana vs. Mileena. Sub-Zero vs Sub-Zero wouldn't be bad either nor would the Dragon Logo with blood just for more commonsense. Extinction is that good of a title, because it reminds me of the Resident Evil movie, but the cover should have is a massive pile of bodies just keeping them piled up with somebody on top that you can't see with the sun behind them.

That's good. A pile of corpses. And, I'd choose the catfight picture too out of mine, especially the one with Jade vs Tanya in it.

I would love the 2 female fighters but its never gonna happen.
The younger teenage guy audience that are not familiar with MK would probs see 2 girls fighting and be put off from buying it. Sad but true.

I had an idea of a dark shadowy close up of a Mask (either Subby's or Scorpion's) laying on the ground covered in blood and all scratched up.
It also has a shadow being cast by moonlight showing the MK dragon logo.

Just something a bit darker than usual.

I would not mind any of these concepts but I would like to see something attractive but simple like maybe have the logo textured with like a shiny chrome metallic look...in the background make it look like a few of the arenas faded together and darkened as if there was going to be a fatality...now the attractive part comes in here...make the cover holographic and when you move it the right way make it look like blood splatters to form either a roman numeral of nine or the number 9. This holographic idea could work with other themes too.

Anything with Sindel on it.

i don't see nothing wrong with holographic covers or even case sleeves. they still do that for movies why not games. even the reflective/flashy styles too. look at the covers for the transformer movies for example...not holographic but they were eye candy. i don't know if you were trying to be rude or sarcastic but it would be easier to just say you didn't like the idea rather than give wise cracks ok paris.

i was referring to hilton...sarcastically stating that because only people like her state things to go out of style. just because one person dislikes it does not mean its not trendy and likable to someone else. the idea did not come from 90's comics...it came from seeing the ben 10 movie cover lol. horror movies have done it also so i don't consider the idea lame.
