I want to hear some ideas for future MK games.

Shinnok awakens the Oni God Kochal. Kochal releases an endless army of oni to take over the realms. If the good guys can't defeat Shinnok and Kochal, the balance of good and evil will be shattered and the realms will cease to exist.

it would be kool if it was mortal kombat and sanandreas mixed together yano like new mk fighters / moves / weapons but all in free roaming like use portals and other things to get around, climb mountains visit all the arenas inside and out but with free roaming all the way through bit like mk:sm but more detailed and much more spacous. it should have a blacksmith instead of a gun shop / a temple or traning ground or even better gain points and buy a house/hut/temple as a safehouse etc and do loads and loads of missions for people. get a wide selection of kaks and old characters e.g the ones who survive mk:a. and the plot to it all would be the next year of mortal kombat ( the competition ) like the elder gods had all passed and died out but new 1s come and theres a new threat so theres another mortal kombat competition. so you do missions to help you train / get popular / unlock extras and then finally fight in mortal kombat.

MK Kart
MK Chess
MK Wrestling
MK First-Person Shooters

They all ready have MK Chess... Plus making an MK wrestling game would suck very much - wrestling is so lame and fake that if added to the already deteriorating state of MK would end the franchise. A first person shooter wouldn't work either. Imagine how stupid it would be to pull of combos in first person mode... MK Kart racing would also be dumb. Does anybody remember how bad that Star Wars kart racing game was? No, I don't want to, and MK would end up the same way.

I would like to see a battle between Heaven and Hell. What ever happened to Lucifer? Ever since his fall by Shinnok he has been in the shadows. Now with no one controlling the Netherealm, he could finally make a comeback and try to invade the Heavens and kill the Elder Gods, therefor disrupting the ways of the realms because their would be no gods to control them. Edenia could also be involved because it is a mirror image of what everyone imagines Eden to be (EDENia).

I honestly don't care all that much about gimmicks , and I think that MK has used way more than its share to begin with (the run button, mk4 weapons, three fighting styles, counters, deathtraps etc have all been gimmicks). My point here is that we don't need an MK game that goes into another genre just for the sake of going into another genre. To me, that would be a gimmick.

MK:SM was a good game that put alot of elements together to make for a fun experience. But making an MK wrestling game or (gah I can't believe someone suggested this in a different thread) an MK first person shooter would be just plain lame. Both markets are completely saturated with mediocre garbage and MK would only add to that. MK Kart game? What a waste of developer talent.

I think the MK adventure games have a really good starting point with Shaolin Monks, and the formula can be improved upon and expanded in sequels that tell old stories, very old stories, stories of characters we haven't even seen yet etc. But the whole idea of whoring MK out to what's currently cool just to make a buck is not cool at all.

I'm more interested in what the MK should do to, well, rebirth this series. If Armageddon is the end, then what's the new beginning?

I ave an Idea go to the first page on future mk games...It's thread About scorpions son and his story but I need to do something to it. The Name for the thread is (My MK:8 feeling of story and kharacters) and stuff...you'll see it on the page :D

well okay future mk should pick upwhere mka left off not the same story over and over and over and over and over and... well you get the idea. but i was finnaly glad mk had made a change in its storyline it finnaly changed in mkda then in mksm

i think next gen mk should just go back to being a straight up fighter...is how it was in the begining...konquest is great an all but i really think that it should be a seperate game just like the mini-games aswell.

shoalin monks i thought was a good game...and i also think with next gen systems it could do alot more with that genre,i think an x-men legends style mk game would be a good idea.
