What personally upsets me the most about the lack of reveal?

Is that December was supposed to reveal the female character of the roster if they was to continue the pattern.

sad

With the revealing of a lot of male fighters and the obvious lack of female, I was waiting for this for so long. Especially, when this female seems to be a new character, ya know? To see the revealing of a new female fighter in the MK Universe.

Anyone else in my boat?

Sorry, I don't usually make topics or these kinds of topics, but I wanted to get that off my chest.
And no I'm not trying to start a "there's always been more male characters than female characters" discussion. That has already happen awhile back and it was a cluster fuck of a thread. So please refrain.

*sigh* Welp, I'm off to play Destiny some more. Toodles.

Also, if the Playstation Experience event reveals a Playstation character, then that's pushing her reveal slot further down. ugh!

....how so? Boon didn't even mention PSX outside of confirming he was not going to be in attendance.

I'm just as surprised as everyone else about the lack of reveal, but any artificial hype built for this was the fault of the community, not NRS.

You know MKX is complete right? They...well WB, wants to keep it safe and have stuff released on their account. If it was on NRS's watch, we would have half the roster by now, plus more stages and other news.

Lol yeah the game isnt finished.... If it was then it would be coming out this month if not last month and there would of been shit left and right.

Whats finished? Besides for balancing move sets, the revealed chars and four stages is all we know that is finished right now.... Do they have other stuf f finished? Maybe... But maybe not. Maybe they wil have a wave of new stuff some time in next month showing off new stuff theyve completed. But yeah i actually doubt that the game is even 60% done yet.... All thats done, yet subject to change, is who will be in the game and the stoy and the convepts of everything. They maybe have majority of it done in a beta phase, but complete only what theyve shown probably.

Call me an asshole but I'm not mad for the lack of news.

I remember MK9 coming out and quite everything was out on the internet weeks before. All characters, all costumes, all endings were even leaked. Of course it was my own fault for reading into it. but I'm happy they're keepig it low profile. It won't stop me from buying MKX.
This is not the fault of NRS or the community.

Just shit marketing. So blame WB for that.

Actually with things this silent I half expect a delay here.

Eh, I'm thinking the reveals are going to start picking up along side the comic book releases, beginning next month.

Has NRS ever delayed a game? Their track record of putting out games on time is pretty strong.

As NRS...sure. They were also pumping games out like clock work when they were Midway's Chicago studio.

Agreed.

We KNOW the game will be packed with content up the wazoo, so the lack of info will prevent players from spoiling themselves.

And it will make the first time booting up the game much more epic. Edit: Was responding to Zwulle. Forgot to quote.

I long became immune to the lack of consistent MKX news because I've had little interest in the game so far.

I'm more tired of the repetitive empty-calorie threads on here borne solely of some random tweet or rumor or simply because people are bored out of their skulls.

Do yourselves a favor and unfollow Boon's Twitter while not hanging on every word he says. Your sanity will thank you.

Since when was a company obligated to have a timely schedule on revealing content? I think they revealed enough already, I have a general idea of what the game's gonna be like, I know a few of the characters already. As of right now we're still so far away from the release that a bunch of hype really isn't necessary. Seriously. Would you rather them update us every week on every last detail of the game so by the time it comes out we know everything about it? Like MK9's leak? If anything this'll make the next reveal more exciting. For right now just focus on something else or you'll make it worse on yourself.

They're not technically obligated, sure. But during the months following the initial announcement, they pretty much set an expectation of about one new thing per month. I'm just flabbergasted that they were slowly revealing things and then just stopped completely for 2+ months. I don't think it's unreasonable at all for people to be surprised. If anything, reveals and new info generally pick up (slightly at first) the closer the game is to actual release.

No one's asking for every last detail. I think most of us just want something....anything...new.

Everyone is so used to being spoon fed information that when it doesnt come quick enough, everyone throws a fit and starts getting all pissy. Personally, I think they should keep quiet as they are now. Reveal little as possible til near release then blow us away with a nice trailer.
