My biggest problem with the mk series as of late has been the inclusion of too many new characters. MKDA's roster was almost, if not, half new people. MKD almost followed this exactly. The new characters since MKDA just seems out of place. The character designs dont mesh well with past characters. Dairou looks goofy. Dairius (however you spell these names) seems nearly pointless. Kobra and Keira didnt really do anything special for the game.

Too many characters have too many of the same (or similar) moves and they are pushing out old-time favorites. We "know" MKA was supossed to trim down the roster but most of the character endings didnt really accomplish this and kinda called into question if the game is even cannon. So, yes. Do away with characters long past their expiration date but if new characters are added please only let it be two or three and for the love of all thats good in the world make them new in every sense of the word.

I agree, characters these days are becoming somewhat annoying as they are using other characters' moves. The only exception is Frost.

Here's how I always thought of it:

The creators wanted to give one character all these moves, but when they finally realize that they had one too many powers, they thought up of another character and split the moves between those two characters, therefore all of the moves that were thought up for one character makes it in the game, though only another character has the remaining part of the moves.

Yes, overthinking about something that really didn't need to be thought of that well is amazingly annoying as I stated once before.

But seriously, I think that's why there were too many characters that had too many similar moves towards other characters. I don't like that, though the only exception I'll take is Frost because she's wickedly cheap if used correctly.
