They've said time and time again that the select screen that we've been shown is NOT final and it could vary. I however don't believe the 40 character thing at all, I have never even seen that but it sounds ridiculous.

There is absolutely NO way there will be 40 playable characters in this game even with DLC.

A friend of mine actually told me something like this for the roster. I immediately wrote it off as a false rumor because I never heard it hear or anywhere else. Glad I'm not the only one who heard this though. I sure hope that it's true. That would be awesome!

Plus it makes a lot more sense than the "leaked roster" that we have because of the whole neXt thing. If you're going to put an emphasis on the X theme e.g "who's NEXT", the NEXT generation of MK on NEXT generation game consoles, MKX being pronounce EX instead of 10 but still works either way becaue X is the Roman numeral for 10 (this is the 10th installment), this game has to be HUGE in all aspects right? I mean you might as well go all out with the roster right?

No, 30 is a fair number. Injustice had 30 post-DLC and MK9 had 32 I believe (33 with Kratos)

Just expect the 24/25 roster screen to be final and the leaked roster to be true. Anything else, is just a bonus! Don't get your hopes up...
