I bet you're thinking, isn't that what kreate a fatlity was? well yes and no, but hear me out before you make a comment.

Remember in MKII, Sub-Zero's deep freeze fatality had 2 parts. You had to do the deep freeze first and then perform the uppercut fatality, but you couldn't do the fatality alone without the deep freeze.

Besides that one, many others come to mind where I can imagine how nice it would be to perform the steps for them from beginning to end. Take a look at Scorpion's fatality from Deception for example. Let's say you have to do a forward back movement so he can start swinging his arms, then you go forward, forward, 1- he throws the spear and rips off an arm. Press forward, forward, 2- he throws the spear and rips off a leg. Press forward forward 4 and he walks up to his victim and snaps his neck.

And for the veterans out there who don't like fatalities that take up too much time and want to just quickly finish off their opponents can perform an old school (back, forward, down, forward, punch) movement and have let's say baraka stab and lift his victim until they die.

Come to think of it, this entire idea is what Ed Boon wanted to implement for Armageddon when coming up with the kreate-a-fatality mode, but since there were around 60 characters including bosses, I guess they didn't have time to really give each character a unique set of movements for their fatalities.

Here's hoping that this would make it in for MK8.

but then you would have to deal with the jag-offs who would complain that its either: "too long to perform" or "its a stupid idea" basically, almost every new idea mk comes up with and gets approved and enters the game for people to admire, happens to get turned down by fans who say that it sucked and wasted their time or it was just not mk style.

for instnace, the reason why create a fatality was not so interesting towards many people were two reasons:

created characters could not perform the majority of the fatalites, unless you prove me wrong whenever im fighting you online if im on then ill edit this and erase this entire part. but i would have loved it if my kaf would do weapon fatalites

and two, many of the moves made no sense. you already pulled out his brain, he should already be dead or, you ripped out his skull, but yet his head is still inflated. what's the point on creating fatality moves that have you ripping out body parts that would kill you instantly but not having your opponent die just like that. it was a stupid thing.

and as i stated before, the reason why so many people would go berserk on this nice idea is becuase they would say that performing the move would be too long to perform, and i did noticed about your alternate finisher, but those may be showing disappointing results. or many people would say that it was too stupid.

and i know jumping to the future with these bright ideas just ruin the fun out of them. but this has happened in the past, and look at armageddon. we wanted to see so much out of this game and expected to be the biggest and baddest mortal kombat yet, but just like the sequal to its movie, mk just ruined it.

(yes people, we all know that anhaliation was the biggest mistake ever to come into theaters.)
