Sacrifices would be like Hara-Kiri, however it would kill the opponent too, ending the match in a draw. They should be very hard to do. For example, Raiden would create a ball of electricity and put it in the air. Like the Mortal Kombat: Deception intro. What do you guys think?

Not bad. The best I can think about is if Stryker blows himself up with Johnny Cage as he hugs him. wink

That does sound pretty cool. I hope the game developers actually read some of these posts, I mean that's free consultation for them!

That seems like a pretty cool idea, but there would have to be a way to make it balanced fairly, It only takes one guy only to get really good at sacrifices to ruin the whole game. I would also be pissed if I was whooping ass, and my opponent knew it was all over so he just sacrificed himself. That's lame.

This reminds me of the sacrificial KO rating you sometimes got on Super Smash Bros Melee when you KO'd the opponent but in doing so so you KO'd yourself. This is an interesting idea and I think they'd need a way of avoiding it as it would be really imbalanced for a person who was losing to pull one off and win the match in that way. Something like this would need careful input and as interesting an idea as it is, in a fighting game like MK, I don't think it would fit. It works in Smash Bros due to the nature of the game being one where you have unlimited lives (minus the stock matches) and that the timer would also affect the outcome. Though you sacrifice yourself, if you died before the opponent on Smash Bros and the timer reached 0, you'd lose the match (or your life) whilst the enemy actually survived. Besides, we've seen sacrificial KO's in MK already in the form of Fatalities. See Raiden, Cyrax and Smoke for examples.

The only problem with the developers having to read this stuff and actually have it featured in the game is if it does make it to the game, the credit will only go to the developers and not the person who originally thought of it.

But I'm going to agree with JB, there will be that one guy that ruins the whole "sacrifice" thing to make it less fun. If such a feature did exist, it should be very hard to perform, or something needs to occur if they were to pull it off. Other than that, it's a very odd yet interesting concept to see.

Or it can be ability that the boss or the sub-boss only have so he can be harder to beat.

The sacrifices should be harder than MK3 Brutalities.

the only way i would like this idea is if the match ended in a draw after its executed. it is not fair if your losing and pull that off to get a win every time your going to lose.

That's the idea. It's like a Hara-Kiri, but it kills both kombatants, ending the match in a draw.
