Sales would be horrible if they did that, and people are already threatening to boycott the series now. That'd be a nail in the coffin.

a long time ago, in the years of bad clothing styles, sex was important, and y2k was amongst us, there was a game... a game with gore, in ways we can never do with our bare hands... though the citizens of america, the soccer mothers, were trying to ban this game right after it came out...

and who exactly besides the 300+ members on this site bitching about Armageddon are going to "boycot" the series.

They should either have it on PS3 and X360 or only the 360 because if it was only exclusive to the PS3, well only 5 people would buy it

Boon stated that they won't make games for the current generation consoles.
So, the next MK game will only be made for Xbox 360 and PS3.
MK8 will have graphics that the current consoles could not possibly handle.

That is one of my biggest concerns, the chance that it will be exclusive to XBox 360 and PS3 since I'm very heavily considering getting a Wii instead as it has all the classic games on virtual console and it's got stuff that my fiance will actually play too. Alot of other stuff is coming out for all three but I worried that with the emphasis on titles like "Gears of War", "Unreal Tournament", etc. that they will either not make it for the Wii at all or do what they've done with EVERY other MK and make them as an after thought. Granted they make improvements to the Nintendo versions like add characters and modes and such but that leaves it to a choice of getting the game SOON and being able to play it or waiting and praying they'll make it for Wii and I get bonuses for my inconvienence. I can't be the only person here with this concern so when we find out more info on MK8 we who own/plan to own a Wii will have to band together and make sure Boon doesn't forget that demographic of his fans. I'd beg to have it come out for all three at the same time and if he wants to add stuff to it either have it downloadable since all the systems will have internet access as pretty much mandatory to have one. I'm looking at all of them right now to see which to get and I've never invested in online capability for my PS2 but if I get a Wii I'll need it. Oh well just my opinion. I'll wait to see if anyone agrees with me, though it is WAY too early to start petitioning Boon and Midway. Take care all.

Ed boon has already stated that the game uses the unreal 3 engine so the likely hood of it coming to the wii is very slim. The only way i can see it happening is if the rebuild and design a version of mk8 specially for the wii. How well armageddon sells on the wii will probably determine whether the wii sees mk8 or not.
