What if Takeda...
Learning about the comic makes me think that maybe the Scorpion we will get in MK X isn't Hanzo.
At the comic Hanzo seems to be "normal" again and actually knows of Quan Chi's shit.
In MK X intros with Sub it seems he still is the same idiot as always.
So what if something happens in the 25 years and Takeda, who is close to Hanzo, will become the new spectre we all "love"

Casselman brought the same possibility up earlier. I don't see it happening myself being the Son of Kenshi and the Apprentice of Hanzo. There's a lot you can do with a character like that and make him unique. Hanzo is very much still Scorpion so if he is killed he still may wake up in the netherrealm as Scorpion. In order for Takeda to become the "new" Scorpion he has to die and gain the same powers Hanzo did. Just seems like a waste of a good character
The intros are more likely about the first stages of the Netherealm war, with Scorpion still a crazy wraith and Sub-Zero being a revenant under Quan Chi, so both of them should be ruthless and care very little about logic (specially Scorpion). Some dialogues might correspond to moments where one of them is already out of Quan Chi's control.

Sounds too good to be true, meaning it won't happen.
With Takeda being the son of Kenshi and being trained by Scorpion (Hanzo), I can see him summoning a flaming sword (or swords). Give Takeda a sword variation with him wielding two flaming swords/katana's.
That's if he will be in the game playable.

I'd rather Takeda become gameplay wise, what I always wished Scorpion was. Let him use the spear /ropedart as a fighting style itself. That, plus some unique TK moves (assuming they're retconing the source of Kenshi's telekinesis) and I think he could be a fun original character.

The summary of comic book #3 on Google play store, sas that Fox (a shirai ryu member) gets possessed by an unknown being and kills everyone and forces Takeda to attempt to kill scorpion.
We won't know til the 3rd comic release what actually happens and what Takeda chooses. But the possibility is there.

I would tend to agree with you.
My theory: the unknown being possessing Fox is quan chi (duh, no brainer). Hanzo becomes a relentless wraith again when he learns of the murder of his clan (for the second time) and also takeda's potential betrayal.

Well one of Scorpion's intro dialogues is "You betrayed me Quan Chi" so unless Takeda somehow gains the same exact powers Scorpion has, happens to have the same voice, wears the exact same clothes, and also gets betrayed by Quan Chi it seems extremely unlikely lol

I have a feeling we will get two versions of Takeda. One has him with different powers like a mixture of Scorpions moves and Kenshi's and then he might get a new ability to control the ground and the whole world around him and becomes Tremor. We got 3 different versions of Sub-Zero on MK9 so maybe we will see at least two versions of Takeda on MKX.

What about him suggests anything to do with Tremor? They might as well just make a new character at that point, or you know, use Tremor.

I think Takeda is probably (if he's in the game) going to have a more stealthy, ninja variation, a swordplay variation and a telekinesis/telepathy variation where-as Scorpion's are what they are and Kenshi's three would probably heavily revolve around different aspects of his powers. Takeda will probably play like a split down the middle version of the two like Cassie is to Sonya and Johnny.

The Scorpion that we have seen in intros so far is likely the one from before/during the Nether Realm wars. I think the game will actually show us how he GAINS control over the wraith.

Fingers crossed for this. It would be fantastic. Much better than anything we got in MK9's story mode.

So technically wouldn't Takeda be 18 yrs old if he is only 8 in the comic? Since its 15 years into the story in the 25 year timespan? Wow, thats a young'n.

Actually, Chapter 1 was only a few years after MK9; the other chapters are going to be skipping ahead to 15 years after. So Takeda could be 28 or so at the end of the 25 year period.

As Sockie said, this portion of the comic is just a couple of years after MK9's conclusion.
From the writer himself:
For all you hardcore #MKX fans who asked when Chapter 1 takes place in continuity, ita39;s a just a few years after MK9.
— Shawn Kittelsen (@kittelsen) January 6, 2015With that, if the leaked digital miniseries casting sheet is to be trusted, Takeda was probably born a bit prior to the first tournament, not after, if he's already 8 when Kenshi meets him a few years after MK9.

Alright that makes a bit more sense.

SCorpion is just Hanzos "beast mode". I'm guessing he's still an asshole at the beginning of mkx and that's why his intro is like that. Or the kamidogu curse turns sub zero into the asshole this time around.
