2D MK had its era, it was awesome, but now it is 3D time.
we can not go back in time, midway would be making a GREAT risk, and probably an ultra-regretable mistake, by making MK8 in 2D.

Nightcrow's right. MK should just stick to 3D. The age of 2D MK, although with lots of nostalgia and fond memories, is over.

D digitializing is an oxymoron. It is like saying this is a Pepsi while it has Coca Cola written on it.

I dont think itd be wise for them to return to 2d for the main series, but if they started to make new 2d ones as a separate story/series they could put them out via download for all the new consoles. I think thatd be cool.

Chrome is right, no business is going to intentionally go backwards. The only 2d mk's that they would come out with are newer versions of UMK3 or MKT, for Xbox and PS2/3 ONLINE.

Look, those rumours are complete and total rubbish. MK is not going back to 2D digitized graphics. As if they would do. Is their any sane reason on the planet why the MK team would go back to making 2d games? No their isn't. Whoever started this rumour is clearly a moron.

Besides, it has been confirmed that their using Unreal Engine 3 for the game so that immediately disproves the rumour.

Digitized acting CANNOT work with surface tensions, bimp makpping as it is basically works as a photograph. Also....
It is more efficient, cheaper to make 3D and ALOT EASIER. Whatever UR dug up is just utter bullshit, made by anyone who has no real idea.

Besides it looks like shit and played like shit in comparison.

We've already been using 3D mapped digital graphics for awhile now.....
All digitize means is to convert data to a digital form for use in a computer.
