I hope not.. I really enjoyed the style of the MK9 endings, and I hope they continue with it.

Agreed. Pretty sure Boon's confirmed that there sticking with the MK9/Injustice style endings. I just think you can tell so much more story with that ending. Think of how much we got from the endings in all games not MK4, whereas in MK4 we got

-Liu Kang goes bang
-Reiko's Kahn fetish
-Jax and Jarek's cringefest

etc.

yeah MK4 has some of the worst endings in the franchise. If you go with videos you're going to be limited by the arenas that are available to fight on.

I like the current format of the the still pictures with narration. If I'd change one thing, I'd have characters narrate their own endings.

I would love nothing more for them to have CG ending with the quality and power of the new engine they would look amazing, but sadly Ed Boon has stated it 's not something they're going to be doing bc its ALOT of money. Not that i was against MK9 "Motion Comic" endings, i just thing with a Full CG ending you can actually see everything play out!

Also i've alsways had a few ideas in my head for some characters on how i would liek their endings to be!

I thought the video endings in MK4 were cool or at least cool in theory, since a few of them sucked. Remember Jax, Jarek, and Sonya's endings? haha someone needs to put a rail near that cliff, my goodness! That cliff almost won the damn tournament! That said, I liked the MK9 endings better just because they could convey more information about what the character did and where they were going. The videos just gave you one brief scene. I liked the MK9 endings over the MK9 story mode even, since story mode was just an opportunity for the NRS creative team to collectively put their foots in their mouths.

I do wish the endings were longer now though, provided the chimps on the NRS writing team could fill a whole two to three minutes. They may not have the mental capacity to write dialog, but those monkey's can sure narrate. For a game with such a rich mythology and a large portion of the fanbase hanging on every word, its pretty lame all we get is a few sentences and two pictures of something thats completely hypothetical. NRS needs to get over the whole "this is what happened when YOUR character beat Shao Kahn" type bullshit since not everybody can be the one to defeat him, and instead just show what those characters were doing at that time or what they decided to do after.

I agree i'd just love it if the characters narrated their own story rather than a generic Narrator doing them all. its more personable.

Although I like the motion comics, I didn't like them in MK9. Seemed like they didn't put muc effort in to them. They should look like games as Infamous. Those were good examples of how a motion comic should go.

How about a compromise? Make the endings in arcade mode like the one in MK9 (i really like the style and art of it) and make a Video ending for the Story mode :)

I would like to see a video ending in MK now that they have the resources. That said, MK9's endings I loved. Nothing to complain about. Great art, interesting stories, so much more info in those kinds of endings than a video. Plus we had story mode for that so yeah.

Video endings are mostly horrid and take a lot of time, precious time they better use on fatalities, characters and everything else.

At first I was also wanting the video endings, but everyone here changed my mind by reminding me how bad the MK4 endings were. I think the way it's done now is just right. However I think we all are thirsting for some kind of MK cinematic whether it's a show, movie, etc. And yes there was the Legacy series but honestly I don't count that. To this day I still love the intro to MKSM, I'd love to see more like that.

Every single game that's announced people always bring up video endings. I don't think we'll ever see those ever again and tbh, I don't mind. I loved the way MK9 did them.

I get it from the point that the current endings are better fashioned to tell a larger story, BUT

I really wish we could get some sort of extended video endings matching the quality of the cgi trailers like with scorpion and subzero in the woods! The character models just look sooo much better than the playable models.
