There could be a very big chance for the "MERCY" move to be in.

What caught my eye A LOT of times but I didn't feel the need to post this anytime soon, because I thought someone else would.

The fact that when your health bar goes into the red (this time around) it starts blinking red, is there any other Mk that did this? Nope, atleast not MK 1 towards MK 9.

Im strongly convinced we are going to see the return of the mercy move that has been absent since MK trilogy, and was first introduced in Mortal kombat 3.

For the people that dont know what the "MERCY" move does/is basicly you each have to win 1 round, then in the 3rd round, after the "finish him" font shows up, you hold the RUN button while pressing 3x Down on the d-pad then you release the run button.

This would make the word "MERCY" in big green/yellow letters appear on screen, this would unlock the animality finisher so you that you can perform it on your opponent.

What use it will be in this Mortal Kombat X, I seriously don't know, but im guessing something completely new, or the good old animality.

Seen this is the first MK that makes your life bar blink when you go into danger, i'm sure it isn't just to make the healthbar look cooler or whatever. http://s30.postimg.org/3y2xzqnld/mercy.png

Please not the Animality! Please be friendship!

Animality is just so stupid, only some characters should have a Animalistic Fatality.

i think this could mean something but i don't think it means a return of mercy. mercy is only performed in a finishing sequence but not during the fight. in killer instinct it was a sign you can prrform an ultra combo or a combo fatality. maybe it's just a signal to be careful. i don't know:)
Yes i agree, its a little weird, the first thing that came to mind was also "KI"
haha, we will have to wait and see, but im convinced it does mean something.

I hope Mercy comes back. Hoped is was back in MK9. But yeah, not for Animality. If they can't get decent Animality's for everyone, then they shouldn't bother.
And just give it some added properties. Instead of just giving the opponent a little bit health back, make him/her slightly more powerful. Making perform a Mercy a little bit more of a dare.

Rage system? Increased power on low health for late match comebacks?

Actually I like animalities but I also love Hara kiris from deception so I am happy for either of these to be the missing ality in the game.

Wtf do you have like a secret source or something?
When I read your comment I thought it could make A LOT of sense, that would be crazy.
Tekken 6 and TTT2 have that system as well, works great.

Though im hoping for Animalities/friendships/ or something cool

It could also be that brutalities need to be started and performed at the start of the red blinking danger point.
Yeah, I'd rather not see anything BUT Fatalities, tbh.

It should return but used for the Hara-Kiris.

I like that idea, Hara-kiri or animalities, what ever just one of the 2.

The health bar blinks near the end of the players health bar to signify being close to defeat.
The reason why YOU see it blink red is because of this plus the fact that every time you get hit, the health decreases and is followed by a shadow trail of red health which quickly goes away. This is actually showing you the damage whatever attack landed on the player has done, great for experimenting combos.

This is why you are seeing what you are seeing. Not because of a Mercy feature.

I'm thinking friendship makes the most sense.

I remember hearing Boon (or someone from the team) saying that an -ality is making a return, and he did mention that it could be friendship.

I also remember comments from him about cassie cage and performing fatalities on each other and so forth, friendship could be a healthy alternative.

Also it makes sense that if you give the opponent mercy and still beat them it ends in friendship. It doesnt make sense that you first show mercy, and then you perform a brutality or animality lol.

When they preform a Hara Kiri, they shouldn't be dazed.
