Well that is really strange... I had no problems... Hope it isn't a bug

Hummmm it may be related to the new way Steam implemented of installing stuff (I couldn't access other content like online or story mode).

I had installed 29 different packages containing the game, but now it's installign them again and after chekcing it looks like the first time they weren't placed in my PC hardrive even if it took 2 hours to install them. Weird.

I will see if after resintalling all of that it works fine. I found it weird that only Sub-Zero and Scorpion (and Goro even if I preordered) were locked.

Edit: Yup, it's reinstallig the packages and now I can only select part of the cast, will have to wait.

Yeah I think this is because of the steam's new way of letting people play while downloading, I just spent a good hour in practice mode and everybody was available except Shinnok and Goro for obvious reasons lol

Well, just finished reintalling everything and... Scorpion and Sub-Zero are still locked characters, their portraits are darkened and I can't move the cursor over them. Really weird and I want to play first as Sub-Zero so really bad for me U.U

hey man i am sorry to hear that you are having such an odd issue, did you try completely erasing the game from your system, and just reinstlaling the whole things updates included?

Apparently there are multiple reports of issues, some of them related to not installing all the packages (which I have) and according to this article I'm not the only one that has Shinnokh, Goro, Sub-Zero and Scorpion locked.

I hope by tomorrow they fix it. Tomorrow my new computer arrives, I installed it in the old one to practice a bit with Subby in low quality but he's one of the 4 characters that I can't pick, so I better wait for tomorrow and see if they fixed it.

I even unlocked some achievements related to playing the tutorial and changing the icons and all that stuff.

I admire Valve, but they shouldn't have tried this new method of preloading the game with such a big and hyped release.

Sub and Scorp were the last ones to unlock for me, but once all the packs installed and i restarted steam, they were there. My game is working fine.
