Upcoming Midway Xbox LIVE Arcade titles include Ultimate MK3 & old school favorites

Well, the Xbox LIVE Arcade certainly seems to be building momentum. Midway just announced that they will be providing several new titles for the service in the coming months, including old school favorites Root Beer Tapper (meh.) Defender (huh?) and Paper Boy (sweet!). In addition, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is on the way, complete with online play. Better start brushing up on those Nightwolf fatalities I guess.

I know that several of you are going to mention how much better MK2 was than MK3, and I’d probably agree with you, but I’m actually glad they’re choosing UMK3 because some of my favorite characters are in there. If y’all want to see me flex some mad skills with Sheeva or Sindel, look me up as Arctic Circle.

It’s great to see all the love for the 2D fighter in the LIVE arcade. Now that we’ve got two of my favorites with SF2 Hyper Fighting and UMK3, we just need some Samurai Shodown 2 and I’ll never have to buy another 360 game again.

Very cool. Only beef I've got it that it'll probably cost like 2000 gamerpoints.
