I think we can forget about that rumour that new actors were hired to reshoot the characters. If the HD collection is real, wouldn't it be far easier to create 3D models and backgrounds in the style of the old arcade machines?

As they are about to release this for iPhone I strongly believe that the HD collection was the basis for this, making UMK3 a port. The HD version may look awesome, if the shots so far are anything to go by. Thoughts?

Think about it: a 3D, high definition interpretation of the first 3 games of the series. Hhm.... hey, yeah... they're already making that game. It's called "Mortal Kombat" (or MK 2011 or MK9). So would it make any sense at all to do this for the HD Kollection? No. None at all.

The HD Kollection will be a visually updated collection of the first 3 games of the series. The first 3 games used real actors that were filmed and digitized into sprites. That was done nearly 20 years ago. Today, that same process can be done, but using the latest, most advanced technology. In other words, why waste time doing what you're already doing? The HD Kollection will feel fresh, but still have that retro feel to it.

Speaking of retro feel, I want to get across to the guys over here that as of this coming Feb., I will be the proud owner of a x-arcade tankstick controller for the PS2 and PS3.

I wanted to do this because if this HD Kollection is true, I want to feel like I am actually playing the arcade machine. This gives me all the more incentive to buy the HD Kollection right now!!
