I also think they should start the next MK in the MK4-DA and MKD time line. If only to try and make some characters stories better (or worse). But i don't want a new MK vs DC. New crossover one day, maybe.

I think the next game should begin with the MK4 plot (something similar, not the exact same one), but have the return of onaga during that game. I'm not sure what would be the excuse for that, perhaps Raiden kills Shujinko because he has a vision of the return of the dragon king and Onaga decides to return even when he doesnt have all the Kamidogus, or perhaps something diferent. But the idea would be having those two big issues in the next game, and kill a lot of charachters so there is no need to worry about Armageddon, that way we can have a MK11 with a competely new story, instead of having an old story revisioned.

I was also in favour of making something happen that would make them avoid the Armageddon. Raiden killing Shujinko before it's time would be a cool twist to the storyline. But i think they should either have Shinnok win in the Neitherealm war, or have a new ending for the time of Deadly Alliance.

Let's see what they change about the story since some characters were really cool during that era. Could have been better if they had a better story.

Interesting scenario. Onaga doesn't really need the Kamidogus in order to return, just make him more powerful. So having Raiden kills Shujinko would be a great alternate storyline.
