I wouldn't be surprised if we received 2-3 classic arenas in the next wave of DLC. I find it kind of odd that there isn't a single one yet.

I'd absolutely DIE for a story mode expansion. But I won't get too giddy about that until we hear something of the like.

I'm honestly not holding my breath on expansive DLC past the Kombat Pack. Perhaps a couple more surprise characters, similar to injustice. But I'm not holding my breath on much else.

People had high hopes for MK9 having a long life through DLC too... and that didn't happen at all. Despite the fact that NRS egged people into believing it could.

I'd love it if this game had a long life of expansion and continued growth, like Street Fighter IV did. I just don't see it happening. NRS seems to be more apt to move on to the next game than they do to continue supporting the current one.

What actually REALLY REALLY cheesed me off about MK9 was all the exclusive content that was left out of the console versions, but included in the Vita version. An entire second challenge tower, and a buttload of skins.

I was pissed to find out they were discontinuing the Klassic Skins on console versions of MK9. Was completely stupid we never got MK2 Mileena.

They had damn well better not pull that again.

This is all nice, but when one is hoping so much for expansions of all types of content then there's clearly some degree of dissatisfaction with what we've seen so far.

I wholeheartedly agree with the OP and I believe that we WILL get a whole lot more content than we think. This is the 10th installment guys. Just look at this game and really look at it. It's the game after MK9 and it looks NOTHING like MK9. They went to great lengths to make this game look and feel fresh. Unless they have plans to start working on IGAU2 (if they haven't already), there is NO WAY they're starting on MKXI for another 5 years or so. They've put way too much hard work and effort into this game to just stop right there.

Even Tyler continues to say that "this game is a work in progress". Like what?? How is a game that is a mere 2.5 weeks away a work in progress? I'll tell you how. It's not like back in the day where "when a game is finished its finished" anymore. This is the age of updates my friends. I can tell that they want this game to be perfect and we will be getting PLENTY of updates and PLENTY of additional content well after the game has been released. I really do believe that.

All I see is just the four DLC characters deal.
And IF we're lucky, then maybe a few more characters, but with the whole variation system and trying to come up with three good ones for a paid content character? I'm not holding my breath.
New stages? New story chapters? No. I say this, because if they were going to have new mode or small chapter like they did with the Injustice DLC, I think they would had done it right off the bat as Pre-order goodies, no, instead, it's a day one DLC character, a big fucking no-no.

Konsidering the myriad of source materials, this game looks to be very proffessional, and as Shao used to say, WELL DONE!
MK9 & X are a definite step up.

I hope we get a lot of DLC, with this game being so perfect, they could just keep expanding on it and letting us play as more and more characters.

IMO they've reached a point where it would be beneficial for them to squeeze this master piece as much as they can and fans will end up getting their favorite characters over time.

I honestly don't think Liu, Kitana, and Kung Lao will remain "good" after the Netherrealm War. They might still fight for Earthrealm, yeah, but I just don't see them joining that merry little band of power rangers to "save the day!" Especially if Raiden has heavy ties to them.

Jax is another one I'm iffy about. It would be nice if all the aforementioned characters thought for themselves for a change. Conflicts of interests plz.

There's not enough villains at all, completely agreed. The roster sucks shit but I hope i'll change that opinion once the game is released.

I like the roster, its a little Special Forces heavy for my taste but there are still a lot of cool characters that look like a blast to play, at least for me there is, shit im even pumped to play as Cassie and Jacqui.

The only characters that I really have no interest in playing outside of story mode and one arcade ladder play through (For endings) are Kung Jin, Kano, Jax, and Qaun Chi, im looking forward to just about everybody else in the game.

The roster was a massive disappointment for me, and has nothing to do with favourites, I suppose having the good guys play a double role as pseudo-villains was the perfect excuse to avoid introducing or bringing back evil characters. That said, the roster is only one part, everything else looks alright. No game is perfect, it doesn't mean it as a whole "sucks otter cock" lol.
