Jade isn't an Earthrealmer, He is an Edenian. But other than that nice thoery, only problem is.

Intros are not canon, they even confirmed it on the stream. They said some are canon, some are not canon, some are just made up for fun and that some MIGHT turn out to be canon.

Intros are canon! Just cause some are non-canon (else how could a fight between Cassie and Raiden take place), doesn't mean they're not there with a reason.

I don't think he said anything about champions only in Earthrealm. From the comic:

"It wasn't safe to keep the Kamidogu in one location, so I entrusted each dagger to a deadly champion."

He was pretty vague about who the champions were or whether all of them were in Earthrealm or not.

Yeah some are canon for sure, that's what they said. But what I mean is, you can't pick and chose like you want. At least not until you play the story mode and know the story to be able to debate which ones are canon and which ones are not.

EDIT: I made a mistake it seems, Raiden said to a deadly champion which in terms mean that it doesn't have to be an Earthrealmer. I remembered that line wrong lol, thanks to @krajax for correcting me :).

As for the OP theory, it still stands. I did not realize Raiden said champion and not Earthrealmer.

Honestly, she seems a bit darker, but the way she talks on her intros with earthrealmers is just snobbish IMO, Kung Lao asks about sparring and Cassie is just trash talking, she probably likes to tease someone that thinks so high about herself because Cassie is a rebel.

Remember the comic shows 7 daggers around Raiden, not 6.

And if her bio turns out to be true, Kitana seems to be sick of Raiden and the elder gods. Her whole clan...erm family and close friend were killed and she wants vengeance. I wouldn't be surprised if she asked the gods to revive them only for them to be brought back as the undead.

Maybe Jade is the one who gets resurrected instead of Kitana as that rumored bio infers Kitana's fate after the Netherrealm War and Jade guards the Edenian Kamidogu, but she ends up getting murdered by Tanya and takes the Kamidogu for herself. Kitana may have too obsessed with Raiden and the gods' deaths while she should have been looking for Jade's killer who was with her the entire time in the Netherrealm. That's my theory. Jade's mysterious death may be covered in the comics.

I didn't know that Jade was a guy. here I thought that Jade was a beautiful arab lady from Edenia.

Jade just probably doesn't get resurrected immediately like Kuai Liang, Kitana, Kung Lao, and Jax.

Jade, Nightwolf, Stryker, Smoke, Sindel, Kabal, etc either get brought back at the end of this game or the next one.
