Actually, the Black Dragon came first. The Red Dragon borke off from the BLack Dragon as a rebellion, and so the two clans have been trying to destroy eachother since.

But there probably is, but Midway and Boon wiil probably introduce them in mk8.

lol, sorry man, but it was the Black Dragon that was formed when some members of the Red Dragon were not happy with how things were going. So they split off and formed their own faction. Seriously check the Konquest mode in MKDA. Some just assume the Black Dragon came first cause we heard of them first. *Shrugs* It's just as well, I like the Red Dragon better than the Black Dragon at any rate.

I like the Black Dragon far more than the Red Dragon and I hate Mavado and Hsu Hao...But that doesn't mean the Red dragon should be cast aside like a bag of Garbage. I truly don't see any future potential in the current members of the BD and RD (Except for Kira) but I would love to see many new faces to both clans. The RD should be a bigger "Threat" per say in MK8 than they are now and the BD should take a breather for a while and get a Booming come back!

Your right. I didn't assume they came first 'cause I heard of them first. It's 'cause I read somewhere else about DA's Konquest mode that said The Black Dragon came first, not the Red.
Black Dragon own the Red Dragon. But Mavado is cool.

To me, it's kinda dissapointing how they never really tapped into the huge amounts of potential that the Red Dragon has. They havn't been explored much and IMO they should look deeper into the story and involvement. The Red Dragon needs to have a much bigger role and impact on the storyline.


Even though I like the Black Dragon more, Mavado is definately a new favourite. His looks, style, and overall personality makes him a great character. One thing I really like about Mavado......is how disciplined and organized he is, not to mention calculating in a sense. I like that differ between the clans.....while the Black Dragon is brutal and crazy, IMO they definately lack in the intelligence and organized department.....something that Mavado and the Red Dragon has. They're more clean and swift.


I think Hsu Hao is a horrible character though, they could've done much better. If anything, I would've made Kira a Red Dragon member since she has red hair; just kill off Hsu Hao. The MK team needs to really look into good character concepts for the Red Dragon.....I mean, look how many sweet looking characters the Black Dragon has (including the side-games). I think each Red Dragon member should have there own special & unique appearance.


Now for storyline, the possibilites are endless. The Red Dragon is open to tons of fueds and upcoming disasters. Being a rival gang to the Black Dragon and a threat to society, Sonya and the special forces will definately be on there tail. This can also help improve Sonya's story alot since she's in the need for it. Then there's Sektor who I'm guessing wants to take over the world.....another danger to Mavado and the Red Dragon. I'm interested to see how kabal will react when he sees him, not to mention Sub-Zero. Other characters like Kenshi and Havik can play big parts in the story as well, and you can't forget Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.


Great thread, I'm looking forward to seeing how there story will develop in MKA. Hopefully the Red Dragon lives on...

I'm really hoping that they give the Red Dragons a stage to shine too. Think about what a a cool side... or main story element thecould have.

They could of course feud w/ the Black Dragons. Also, they could feud with the new Lin Kuei, who in turn would be the protectors of Earthrealm, led by Sub Zero. If Mavado survives Armageddon (fuck Sue Howe)... anyway... if he survives, he could be developed more as a character with new members. It'd be interesting to see new Lin Kuei members with more diverse abilities other than just freezing.
