This is an aboluetly sickning and dishearted post. I am very offended and I also hate MK in General. All this time I have sat back and watched Jax, the only real black guy in MK, Noob was just colored black afterall, take all this heat and injustice. I mean they take all the sterotypes of a black person and throw him into one character? I mean, anyone from Earthrealm (like Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Sonya, Kano, Cage, etc.) is from Earthrealm, anyone from Edenia (Kitana, Sindel, Jade, Tanya, etc.) is from Edenia, you can only really say race when they actually come from the countries you are talking about. Kitana is not Asian because she comes from Edenia, where there is no Asia, so the whole thing is rather defunct.

Sheeva is not bhuddist... it is hindu.

Jade is Edenian. She's not of Erathrealm descent in any way.

Sonya is American. See her background and story for that. She's a memeber of the US Specoial Forces.

Kitana is also Edenian. So how could you possibly get Japanese or Mexican when both are Earthrealm countries?

Kano could be Australian, but I don't believe they ever gave proper confirmation on his nationality.

Raiden is a god. His race is therefore 'deity' or 'god' or whatever you would call such divine persons.

I doubt that Kai is Puerto Rican, but he could be.

And Sub-Zero could be chinese, but I think he may not be. I can't remember if there has ever been any indication of what he is.

Kabal is most likely American. He might not be, but a good guess would be American.

Jax is is an African American or Carribean American. Go with whichever.

Kai I seriously doubt as being Brazilian. But whatever floats your boat there.

Quan Chi is not from any Earthrealm country. He's either a native of Outworld or a native of the Netherealm. He may have once had a human form.

Ermac has no race. he was born from the fusion of many souls of dead warriors. If you wanted to be technical, he's probably a mix of a good number of known races across the MK realms.

Cage is American.

Kenshi doesn't even remotely look Japanese imo. Good guess though.

Sheeva comes from the Shokan realm and has 4 arms. She couldn't possibly from Earthrealm. Use commons sense.

Yes, XiahouDun84 is correct about Sub-Zero's ethnicity, but to add on, there's also Cryomancer lineage from his father's side.

Jax is African American.

Kenshi is mixed Chinese and European yet his name is Japanese for "sword saint" and he had been traveling throughout Japan, challenging the greatest of swordsmen. My guess is that despite his ethnicity, he was raised in Japan and its culture though despite him wielding a Katana and there being a reference to Bushido in MKDA's Konquest, I think he's somewhat like a modern day Ronin.

Quan Chi is a native of the Netherrealm as he was once an Oni. He eventually learned the dark arts and somehow changed or evolved into a more humanoid type being. How that exactly came to be is unknown as well as whether his learning of sorcery had anything to do with it.

Liu Kang and Kung Lao are of course Chinese.

Raiden has no ethnicity as tgrant said due to him being a deity. He is however derived from Japanese mythology.
