Good thread idea man! This one made me think kinda hard. My favorite character of all time is Baraka, but he's been in enough games now and he's always had that kind of minor character feeling to him.

My gut reaction was to say Scorpion or Sub Zero, but if the MK team wants to go in a revolutionary new direction, keeping the poster ninjas for the series doesn't seem all that logical. Indeed, while MK1 and 2 are still my favorites in the series, I would probably scrap every character from those games, since alot of them seem to be the more popular and reoccuring characters.

So I'm going to go out on a limb here and pick: Mavado

He has a cool look, a move list that is begging to be expanded upon, and his history is virtually unknown, other than the fact that he's the leader of the Red Dragon. Still, if they wanted to wipe the Dragon feud away with the other old plots, he's mysterious enough to probably go in a new direction entirely. He could make a good antihero or become more villainous in an infinite number of ways that have nothing to do with the Red Dragon. Obviously he doesn't scream "boss material," so I'm not going to go there, but I think he still has alot of untapped potential, and I'd like to see him in future MK games.

God this is hardbut i wud av 2 say Cage its about time he became the main karacter but i hope it never comes 2 this cuz thyd probably end up copyin teeken or virtua fighter and creating more sucky karacter like Kobra n shujinko i mean compare darius 2 scorpian shujinko 2 liu kang any1 new karactor 2 raiden or reptile sadly all the bast karacters are proably behind us so we need them 2 survive if mk is 2 get better.

Sonya, but Sub-Zero is up there, too... It's hard to pick only one, to tell the truth, but I've always liked Sonya's character since I played MK3 when i was, like, 6....

I'd have Sub-Zero to survive the whole battle and return to Earthrealm to the Lin Kuei. The future games would look back to the legend of this massive battle and Sub-Zero would be long gone as he died of old age. The next Sub-Zero would be his descendant.

I would like to see Stryker being the only one in the whole series to survive, just to piss off the haters.

Raiden

Not only because he is my favorite character but because he is the one who seems to tie all the games, movies, etc together in some form or another. Even in games where he's not playable he is there (except MK:SF but that was because he was too smart to be in that crappy game)

Fujin is already hinted to stay as protector of earth. Everyone else... "could" quite possibly, go to hell.

I'm with baraka407, Mavado all the way! he was my favourite in mkda, and here's the real thing that matters: In mkda, the things that really mattered were: Fatalities and special moves. Mavado's fatality was crap, and he only had one useful special move (Change sides hook), but he was the only character in the game that i found didn't need them to be awesome. I was unbeatable with him, and have never been like that with any other character except baraka in mk2, and that's on the easiest setting.
