The mysterious character in the Cage family trailer

The one Johnny beats up. Who do you think he is?

Some have said Revenant Jax, but Kitana and Sindel were pretty recognizable as revenants, plus where are the metal arms? Others have said Reiko, but that character appears bald, and Reiko without his grey streaks just seems wrong.

To me, that design resembles Baraka's MK Gold one. The shoulder pad, the bald head, and I'm sure I've noticed small spikes in the character's arms.

I think everybody is missing the point, If he is not Jax. He is an NPC. Like the ones that were in MK9 in the challenge tower.

Doesn't have to be anybody we know, Although for me it does look a lot like Jax.

Johnny is his older self in the sequence. Doesn't Jax get freed long before that to train his daughter in the comics? Plus why would he be older now if he came back from the dead 25 years later?

Everything this character wears just fits Baraka more than Jax.

Can anyone post a screenshot? I think I saw a glimpse of him but not enough to actually get a good look at him.

I've gotten a better look at the character's mouth, and didn't notice any sharp teeth. Please don't let it be Jax. What a waste of a cool design it'd be if it were him.

I thought it was Daegon at first, but looks like his metal arms are in place.

It's Jax. There is no mystery here.

Sure, he looks a lot more Evil and spiky than we've known Jax in the past but Quan Chi obviously made a couple of enhancements :)

It's Jax. From's ign's story mode article:

"Jax is a fan-favorite who hasn't been seen in any way before so his appearance as a combatant is a pleasant surprise. At least at this point in the story, he seems to have been possessed by the other dude I fought, long-time MK big-bad, Shinnock."

Though I'd be curious to see how Stryker would look as a revenant, if he was back as a playable character. Since he probably isn't, he'd probably only get minor tweaks like Sindel.

Kua 's human, Scorpion has or had a skull for a face and fire powers, some thing's hardened Kitana (for some reason she might be like a Sareena replacement hence using her fans for like daggers), Kung Lao just got older, Sindel migt have become the Bride of Frankenstein('s monster), Jax has been upgraded although that preview makes him look ugly

Oh so you haven't bothered paying attention to her Netherrealm form that was saw a glimpse of in the story trailer then?

He's a servant of hell. Of course he is going to look twsited and evil there. Just...fucking duh.
