In fact, We need to get on there ourselves and start fighting back against them, the series needs to move forward from the past and that means killing off old characters for good.

I have said ths before but the roster for this game is by all intents and purposes already decided. The game will release next year so there is not enough time to incorporate a new character since the story is all drafted out.

Quite frankly- I like the idea of Kitana being in MKX. If she's not in there, it won't break my heart, though... I like the idea of some fresh characters in the game.

I don't recall her death in 2011's game being the end of her character permanently.

I can see her *maybe* being left out of this game, but they're certainly not going to kill her off for good. She's too popular and you can count all the MK1 and MK2 characters coming back as playable characters every now and then. I think Kano may be the least popular of all the MK1/2 roster, and is still getting playable appearances. Story don't mean shit since they decide on the roster first, and then do the storyline.

There isn't enough time to incorporate a character into the story indeed. However they have plenty of time to decide who they'll make DLC. I believe that the poll in MK9 showed that they hadn't made up their minds before people went ballistic about Rain.
So they might not include Kitana in the initial roster, but the character who the fans request the most is probably gonna make it DLC.

You obviously haven't paid much attention to previous MK games. Characters have died and usually always come back. So Kitana is not gone "FOR GOOD". That's prob one of the stupidest comments I've heard on here in a while.

Kitana is arguably one of the top four most popular and loved characters of the entire series, so of course many many fans will request for her to be in the game. These fans who request her appearance in MKX should "stop being MK fans"? Why? Makes no sense whatsoever. Kitana might not be in this game but you better believe she will be back in the next installment.
