If MK9 takes place in the past from the events of MK 1, 2, & 3... I'm sure MK10 will take place in the past from the events of MK4, MKDA, & MKD. But I wonder, what characters will be included? A little bit of both maybe? As you can see, in MK9 we have Quan Chi who is vital to the MK4 (along with Shinok) and MKDA story and we have Kenshi who is vital to the MKDA & MKD story. Which Quan Chi and Kenshi in MK9 this tells us that MK10 will take place in MK4 who will have a mixed cast of MK4 fighters as well as some MKDA. To me the ending in MK10 will be Shinok being defeated and Quan Chi will revive Shang Tzun and form an alliances which Raiden will have another on of his vision and inform Fujin who is not the protector of Earth realm and this time Lui Kang will have a change of heart and participate in the Deadly Alliances to fight and kick both Shang Sung and Quan Chi's arse. That will be MK11. Once Quan Chi and Shang sung are dead, Onaga comes into play. This time what was left of Deadly Alliances will blend with Deception that will be MK12.
