I mean, I don't want to start a debate about gender or anything, so please avoid that in the comments, but it's hard to deny that not only are the women less 'blow-up doll' and more realistic/varied in their designs (and still sexy!), but also the men are much sexier this time around. I think the sexiest costumes in MK9 were MK3 Sub Zero and Johnny Cage, but on the whole there weren't many hot guys (at least like there were hot girls). But now, we have Sub Zero unmasked looking good, Takeda, Kano's design and VA as a whole make him hot, and my personal favorite costume: Rain has some really nice nipples in his updated outfit.

But jokes aside, Rain's outfit is my favorite because it seems to fit better than his old one. Mileena, Kitana, Shao Kahn, Sindel, Jade, etc. were all from Outworld and wore revealing outfits. I like the idea that they're not human and by extension don't follow all the same rules we have about clothing; Shao Kahn was half-naked because it's normal in Outworld, and now so is Rain.

Also, on the whole they all seem much more intricate, and Kitana's for example is so fresh that I can't help but love it. Scorpion also has really good textures on his outfit; you can almost see every thread in the cloth.

What are your thoughts on the updated costumes for MKX? Any you hate? Any you love? Why?
