Hard is crazy. I can manage but I still get sodomized more often than necessary. Very Hard is absolutely torture. Couldn't lay a paw on them. Can't believe I'm a scrub at this game. MK 2011 was easy as hell compared to this. 10/10 game.

Pfft.

Just try hard or very hard in story mode.

That'll deflate your ego so fast it'll make your head spin.

Last night I was having good success on Hard mode. Then I go to play online and I get destroyed by the server lag. Pisses me off because it's virtually impossible for me to string combos together online with Scorpion with the lag and button latency. I'll continue playing AI but I'm doubtful that will be of help when fighting scrubs that block camp and spam specials.

Well, you all got your Tremor now. Can we finally move on?

Yeah, the AI is unforgiving in this one, they definitely upped the ante with it. There were some instances where I was getting thrown around by AI controlled characters in 20+ hit combos that I imagine only an expert tournament ladder player would normally be able to pull off. I remember quitting one of the living towers when Jacqui got a 23-hit combo on me that ended the round before I could even press a button.

I've beaten MKX's story mode on hard at least 8 times. Not without losing at least 8 to 15 matches. I am 100% sure that the AI doesn't play by the same rules as we do. They recover much faster from doing simple moves, allowing them to counter attack almost everything if you are not careful.

To beat Corrupted Shinnok, you better be good with a character and know most of their longer combo strings, because once you hit Corrupted Shinnok, you need to do as much damage as possible, because you never know when you will hit him again.

Yeah the difference between medium and hard is a big step up.
I have finished 1 tower at hard setting. Will try very hard soon.

Good there is good AI to play against when the online is lacking...

Thought it was just me.
It's a bit annoying, the jump between medium and hard. Medium is a bit too easy and I want to move on, but on hard I get slaughtered.
I'm not a brilliant player, but I could regularly complete MK9's tower on expert without a hitch. Did take a while to get there, but X seems really tough by comparison.

Welcome to MK AI programming. It's been this bad since MK2, where the game uses input reading to counter an offensive, and re-prioritizes moves depending on if it wants you to win or not.

Examples...the AI can jump kick you out of a jump punch, and can also use that same jump punch to knock you out of a jump kick. It's also fun to see the AI magically throw you out of Cage's shadow kick.

Remember when Kitana used to be able to throw 2 consecutive fans in MK2, or when Sektor could do 3 teleport uppercuts in a row in MK3 when you as a player couldn't? Same garbage excuse for AI, only 20 years later.

Medium is the best i could do thus far, hard has been brutal, unable to beat Shinnok yet.

I find medium really easy. The step up to hard is huge. It's doable but very hard is too hard for me at this point, but good for learning I guess.

MK2 AI is the damn worst lol I hate how they can grab and land uppercuts from distances that just are not possible for human players, damn that pissed me off, same with Kitana's double fan throws.

Hard AI is as far as I can go at the moment. You've gotta armor through all of their shit, they do not respect your wakeups at all and they mostly try to attack low for the most part.

Um yea... the AI is beyond gross in this game on hard. It def was bringing me flash backs of AI Jade in mk3 lol.

So i'm in the training stages and im like let me fight AI in player vs player mode to get use to doing my combos in actual matches instead of training mode. Medium is a complete joke... wow i'm crushing scorpion with my sonya.. hmm u know what.. i'm confidant enough with my combos lets try hard mode. Hmm ill fight kano since hes sonya's rival..... BIG MISTAKE

lol things that made me BEYOND realize im fighting AI and not a person was how they predict every fucking thing u do. As soon as my finger gave the block button even a breath of fresh air... I was cannon balled. Its pointless doing delayed wake ups cause the cpu knows to attack rite when u stand no matter what. One match i purposely didnt burn meter on ex specials or combo breakers just to see if i can actually get up without being hit. I stand up block high... INSTANT low combo.. i stand up block low... INSTANT over head combo. This repeated until i was dead, delayed wake ups and all.

Went online tried the same things against the rare good players i ran into... and guess what?! IT WORKED. I didnt have to burn meter every damn time just to get up.

So in short... AI in this game is def back to its shitty mk2 and 3 days. Yes in deeddy

I tried it out today and I was definitely getting UMK3 flashbacks in the worst way. I won one round though, so practice makes perfect I guess lol.
