I think that people are thinking way too much into the age of the characters when it comes to this. Sure, for some fighters, the age would be an effect (Johnny Cage, Sonya, Kung Lao, etc.) But other people, it would have little to no effect (Kitana, Raiden, Ermac, etc.)

My point being however, is that look how many people Sindel had killed in that one scene in MK9. Not that I think she'd be the culprit for killing everyone else, but there are other people capable of that.

I really think that you are going to see or hear about a lot of characters dieing as opposed to retiring.

I'm still in firm belief that we will get 6-10 returning fighters (from all over the MK universe) and the rest will be new. Then the DLC will probably be mostly, if not all, returning fighters.

I'd prefer the opposite, where all the DLC is either rumored characters or new, so folks can have the option to buying them. However, that's not what will rake in the dough, so I digress.

I can see there being 24 with maybe 4 secret unlocks to bring it up to 28. (Noob, Smoke, Jade, New) or something of the like.

Ideally, I'd love for that select screen to get another row and be around 32 deep with DLC pending.

A lot can change in a year. A lot can change in those 25 years, too.

If Sindel Killed most the good guys in MK9... How is Cassie Cage Possible, as they both died...

I'm just looking forward to seeing Tanya, she won't age so she's not effected i hope some old characters from MK9 are DLC and look still young i.e. Sonya, Johnny, Jax

Also, I think that this Sub-Zero will be a brand new one yet again. They could easily explain it as the name Sub-Zero being more or less a title for the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei.

Johnny Cage and Sonya didn't die. You even see them standing next to Raiden in the ending for story mode.

Or his kid, had he left one behind. But I could see that, too.

Reptile, Baraka, Etc wouldn't age...Reptile might devolve more, but that's about it.

Since the game is supposed begin immediately after MK9, as Ed Boon stated, hopefully the state of the deceased, both good and bad, will be explained and acknowledged throughout the 25-year span.

Also, I hope it explains why Sub-Zero is still here.

I think that they'll say Baraka was killed off, possibly. He played virtually no role in the MK9 story. They may add a brand new Tarkatan, but I doubt it.

As for Reptile, they said that as his body de-evolves, he also loses sanity so maybe he just went crazy. Or they could kill him off too. Either way, I don't expect to see Reptile.

I only expect one more "ninja" in this game; either Ermac or Noob Saibot.
