I believe it has to do more with this Grandmaster variation of his than being Shao Kahn. They never fully explained what Dragon Medallion is and where it originated,only that Grandmasters of Lin Kuei wear it and it somehow gives them more power,but also ages them as well (at least Kuai Liang did age a lot in MKDA). Maybe they will explain the origins of DM in MKX?

I wouldn't be worried about this. The hammer (and daggers) are there for versaility and show how he can create anything he wants from ice (you seriously think Kahn would use daggers?).

You do realize that Sub Zero is a title right? There have been a lot of Sub Zero's before KL and seemingly, there's one after him. You could, I dunno, be grateful for your favourite characters prevalence in the games, which is at the level where even after he's killed off, they need to bring a Sub Zero back for the next game? And maybe keep an open mind about what they have planned for the character in future? For instance, my favourite character is Reptile. All I can possibly hope for is that Reptile comes back to be a punching bag again, while NRS ignore the amazingly tragic arc of the last member of his species devolving into madness and then losing control of his own body. That was a cool arc. Reptile as the lizard guy who gets beaten up by everyone isn't even an arc, it's a dot. Sub Zero had his own game, all to himself. Sub Zero is the most fleshed out character in all of MK, with all of his potential realised in the original timeline. He even kills Scorpion in Armageddon.

But judging from the other Sub Zero thread you started three days ago, and the one where you complained that Sub Zero lost in the trailer, and the one where you asked if there was alternate box art cos it's unfair that Scorpion is on it and not Sub Zero, I'm just wasting bandwidth, as you refuse to countenance that there could be any merit in a Sub Zero that isn't KL and isn't following the exact same path as in the original timeline. I mean, Sub Zero was so misused by NRS that KL only lost to mega-Sindel but beat Kano, Sektor, Goro, Kintaro, Scorpion, Ermac! And your exact thought process is "how dare they only let him beat 20% of the roster in the story mode!" For christ's sake, the guy had TWO story mode chapters. TWO.

You're wrong. I've already ADMITTED in another thread that I'm fine with another Sub-Zero as long as it is Kuai's descendant. I HATED Bi-Han as Sub-Zero. Plain and simple. I don't want him returning. I also don't want them saying there are a sea of fucking Sub-Zero's because that allows Boon to put a new Sub-Zero in every game for Scorpion to kill.lol. It's just dumb logic too to think that there are infinite Sub-Zero's and that it's not some family lineage. At least you know Reptile will be the SAME person come next game.
