If there's something I've learned during my few months at MKO, it's this: "confirmed" is shorthand for, "This character should be playable OR ELSE."

A character isn't confirmed or unconfirmed until we see a final roster. This is MKO though and people gonna do what people gonna do around here. Don't let it get to you? I don't know what else to say.

Apparently because they make a "cameo" people deem them as playable. And yet MK:Deception had so many in "Prison Stage", Konquest, and how many ended up in the game?

I really think that people need to learn the difference between "confirmed" and "speculated."

We saw 12 new characters in the latest trailer. Of those 12, we can only say that 3 of them are officially confirmed; Jacqui, Takeda, and Kung Jin, since we actually saw game play from all three.

At this point, characters like Mileena, Erran Black, Shinnok, Reiko, Rain, Baraka, Sonya, Johnny, Kenshi, Jax, Liu, and Sindel are all "speculated." Some have more evidence in their favor than others, but none are 100% confirmed.

Just sayin'.

I think it's safe to say that Mileena and Erron Black will be playable. Outside of them and the new Special Forces characters we don't really know.

I also hate it if People post "confirmed". It's irritating and annoying. Because everyone of us has their favorites and if someone post confirmed fans have their hopes high or are happy and then they read the post and are disappointed. That sucks. I think this should have some consequenzes for them.

And everyone continues to fall for it every single time.

i got Jacqui, Takeda, Kung Jin, Mileena, and Erron Black.

i think Sindel and Rain will just play roles in the story.

Lol it is a little annoying, its like some people forget what the word confirmed means.

Until there is a picture, video, or something released by NRS showing or stating the character in question is playable in the game its not confirmed. Oh and leaks and magazine exclusives, but we haven't had too many of those.

Speculation is fun though lol

Yeah I take "confirmed" and "revealed" posts with a grain of salt since people put those in thread titles as clickbait or just out of their own excitement (ie they're not being rational). I don't get mad about it though.

Confirmed to me means either NRS has directly revealed the character or there's gameplay footage of a character. That's why I wouldn't even consider someone like Mileena "hard confirmed" yet. I mean I think it's safe to say she's in but, since there's no in-engine gameplay of her, I don't include her on the confirmed list. Confirmed to me means 100% without doubt and no room for speculation and no margin for error and right now, it's at about 99.9% for Mileena.

For me only Jacqui, Kung Jin, and Takeda were confirmed yesterday because we saw their gameplay footage (as brief as it was). Everyone else was shown in cutscenes only so it's still open for speculation.

Mileena was in the tower. Confirmed if you ask me. Erron and shinnok are more than likely. Rain has a chance but its not as certain as others. Sonya, johnny, and jax are shoe ins since each new character with descendants will have family members in.

See I work in a professional field that uses empirical research models and data based evidence to support findings so I don't frames things with ambiguity as qualifying as 100%. To me confirmed means 100% without a doubt locked-in based on definitive concrete evidence. To me, the "criteria for concrete evidence" is confirmation via an official channel directly or in-game in-engine footage of the character.

Obviously I don't expect other people to adhere to this line of thinking or criterion but this is how my brain works.

If we're speculating however I'd say Mileena and Erron Black are the rest of the revealed characters.

Liu Kang: tower, Italian Voice actor confirmed his presence

Jax: Tower, Cassie's Brazilian voice actor

Johnny: a Dev let it slip you can fight him, leads an off shoot special forces unit

Kenshi: Mocap IMG of a fatality, member of Special forces alongside his son

Yeaaaaaaaaaa 100% right..Just that jamesmk guy kinda leaked the list..Could be fraud or some dam good guesses up to this point. I cant see jax, kenshi, JC or sonya being in game. Mayb one of em, but just doesnt make sense for all..

My theory is boon said 5. So new 3 youngstas, black, Mileena..With Reiko being non-playable boss..Mileena being sub-boss. Everyone else in trailer is story..

Yah, it is annoying as all fuck. But hey, if people want to cumguzzle and scream "confirmed" because they saw a character for a fraction of a second in a trailer and THEN have their entire world shatter when it turns out it's just a cameo.....then so be it.
