Screw Sonya.

There, now Ive that out my system....

I dont particularly like Sonya, to me, she is boring, always has been, always will. The whole "Special Forces" story needs 2 go.

Id like her to die leadin upto the next MK. Maybe at the hands of a returnin Kano, or a Dragon member, Red or Black, who knows?

If I had to kill someone off for good, it would be her.

She has been around ever since the original Mk. We have seen her battle against the forces of evil, protecting her world and friends in the chaotic war between the realms. She felled in battle during the events of MKDA, yet she played the role of one of the evil bodyguards of Onaga during Deception. She was brainwashed and turned evil. This event could lead her character to a whole new direction, giving her a new storyline with huge potential.

Sonya has always been in Mk, one way or the other, she plays a role in the storyline. She is one of the 3 Original chosen warriors, and the only chosen female that represents earth in battle. By the looks of Deception, and taking Boons words for true, she will most likely return.

I also agree and hope to see Sonya with a dramatic story change, it would kick ass to see her half evil half good, but good at the end like always. Mk needs the original female. Sonya Blade will always be around.

If she is to return, she needs to be evil. None of that goody goody do-no-wrong crap we're used to seein from her.

If theres no Kano, then whats left for her? Nothing I dont think. Maybe Jax could impregnate her and Sonya will have to sit out a few games? HA, I shud be so lucky.

Sonya may not as popular as Sub or Scorpion, but I consider her one of the landmark characters of MK world itself. I can't wait to see her again. I hope in MK7.

'I had been defeated in the battle against the Deadly Alliance. Though I had managed to retain my conciousness to witness Raiden's battle against the sorcerers Quan Chi and Shang Tsung. I tried to get up but I was too badly wounded. Beside me lay my fellow warriors. I tried to wake them but to no avail. Thats when I seen a horrifying creature emerge from the darkness. It was coming towards the palace swiftly. It was a large dragon wearing a hemet similar to the one worn by Shao Kahn. It strode right past me, obviously assuming I was dead. It was heading towards the fray and I assumed it would try to kill Raiden. I pushed mysel as har as I could to get up. Staggering, I managed to stand, I had been very weakened. I needed something to catch his attention with. Beside Kitana lay her steel fans. I may not have had any training with these exotic weapons but I'd seen how they worked before. I flung them at the beast.

The beast didn't even feel my assault, it kept marching towards the palace, obviously to preoccupied with its mission. I managed to climb the steps to the palace doors to see what was happening. As I looked in, electrical energies seemed to swarm around Raiden, he was chanting something. Had I not realised what he was doing till a second later I would have surely perished. I ran, using all my remaining strenght I dived over a short wall. Before I had hit the water I heard the blast. My only objective was to get away alive. I came across the cyber-ninja Cyrax, who I had journyed to Outworld to find. He told me of Nitara and her glass orb and of all the past events. He helped me regain my strenght and we secretly wandered the Outworld during the war of the Dragon King. Onaga has been defeated but he is still alive. I know he is somwhere in this realm, hiding, waiting, binding his time till the time is right. I must find as many warriors as possible who can aid me in an attack against this vile creature. There are rumours that my friends have been resurrected to serve the Dragon King. If that is true then I must find a way to free their souls to get to him. If I cannot do that, I must be prepared to face them in Mortal Kombat.

I agree that Sonya needs a change in costume but don't make her "too" revealing. Making her 100% evil is not believeable.

But it would be nice to see Sonya evil for a limited time, it has potential IMO.

As for the other dude, Sonya must never look TOO revealing like the rest of the females. Let her be decent and avoid the Edenian "ways".

i wonder if they'll let us know right from the start of mk7that kira and kobra are sonya and kano kids.. see it came to my attention y sonya hates kano so much.. once upon a time they were lovers, but then kano turned on her.. he dumped her w/ the kids and joined the black dragon.. now shes been out for revenge ever since..
she is also angered by her kids folowing in their dads foot steps..

Just to point out something, If Sonya hadnt been in the first game, i doubt the MK team would've added Kitana and Mileena. Since they're both female, im sure the MK team would've thought:

'Oh, they're girls, they're not as strong as men, nobody will play as them'

and would've dropped them in favour of male characters.

The Wind Blade from Mk4 should return. I like her sticks but I like the wind blad even more

Actually I doubt they would think that way because Im sure they got ideas from Street Fighter and knew that they had a female character which was pretty popular. So if they wouldnt have added sonya in the first place. Im sure they would have added females for MK2.
