Any one notice, especially with the new comers, and kung loa...They sound down right fucking autistic....

Takeda especially, I had to rewind what he said 20 times to reptile

It sounds like Cassie, Takeda, and Kung lao are in fast forward....

Example

KL : adehmawah = a dead man walks
SZ : you will feel the sting of winter = Clear, coherent, with strong delivery
KL : youhavemetyourdemy = you have met your demise

T: you been rollin in trash = little sped up, coherent, but poor delivery
R: respect me human = again great delivery and coherent
T :serslyyousmeaw = seriously you smell awful, sounds like babble....

Nah, I could hear all of it perfectly when people aren't talkin' over 'em.

Might need your hearing checked.

Haha sometimes they speak somewhat quicker than one would normally, likely because their window is limited by the intro animation. But I think the actors have done a good job across the board. Cassie is an example of a character with longer lines, who has to speak quickly, but manages to express them really well.

Agreed with OP. They do talk too fast and quietly more often than not, and I often find the lines too abstract/incoherent to me.

Also, I reckon 2 lines of dialogue in the intro sits more comfortably than a trio of 2 interesting lines, and then one extra little quip at the end every time. Just seems awkward.

While I appreciate that these intros serve to provide added depth to character relationships, their delivery is poor, and the excessive amount of text they try to cram into such a short window of time is a bad design choice.

Seems like you are in the minority. Is English your native language? If it's not, I can understand it being a little hard to understand as some lines, like many of Cassie's are quick. I like the quickness of some of the lines...makes it sound like a more natural interaction IMO.

Oh shit, I stand corrected. The reason you can't understand these simple lines is because you're a jerk off that resorts to childish descriptions to explain things you don't like. There it is. Hope that was helpful.

Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like Lao's voice. I will forever love the "quarrel" intro though.

Cassie Cage is the only character I had a problem understanding at times.

It's not that she talks fast, she talks fast and whispers, sometimes she talks clear though. Oh also in the mirror match between Scorpion and Scorpion, I'm pretty sure one of them said "Old Scorpion".

Yeah, I don't have any difficulty hearing or understanding what the characters say. The only time I have any difficulty is when the 2+ dudes doing NRS' live Twitch streams talk over the intros. Those are the only times I've ever had any difficulty hearing.

I think it's just a matter of the younger gen characters tend to speak more quickly, just like real-life teenagers/young adults do.

But that's no excuse for Kung Lao, his VA's delivery is just really fucking terrible. Sounds like he tried to fit in all his intro dialogue quota into thirty minutes.

None of these things really bother me, but Kung Lao specifically has a bizarre cadence/meter to his second line. Many of them have a similar inflection. It's more amusing to me then bothersome.
