They told us there would be a tease of the final boss.

The only two I can think of are Shinnok and Mileena. Neither of those are "surprise returning" characters.

Could it be that the Lin Kuei are going to rise up at the end and Sub-Zero is the big bad or something? That's the only thing I saw in the trailer that sounds not entirely far-fetched that is actually somewhat surprising.

What do you guys think about the big bad?

I'm not sure. I am still a bit dizzy from watching that epik trailer.

I see that Tanya has chosen to remain hidden in a purple cave in Outworld.

I'll have to wait another 2 to 5 years to maybe see this kharakter return to Mortal Kombat. It is what it is. lol

Tanya has the best invisibility power in Mortal Kombat, for sure.

The only confirmed are Kung Jin, Takeda and Jacqui, that's it. Erron Black has a good chance, because he appears a lot and is mysterious as fuck! Mileena is my fifth logical guess, she looks awesome and has a lot of story involvement.

Why do everyone think that was Liu Kang in the living tower? Could've been Takeda. They both wear headbands.

I was also thinking this. It's highly possible.

I think people thought it was Liu because the statue was in the same pose as his MK2 victory pose. Still, now that we have Takeda's costume, we should probably re-examine that claim. I didn't get a good look at he supposed "saluting woman" in the tower either, but maybe there's a possibility of it being Jacqui rather than Sonya?
