Slasher is king thus far. Great range, lots of pop ups, a nice array of specials. If I have any complaints, its that his D1 and D3 pokes are slow as all hell. Overall, he is absolutely awesome. NRS once again takes a character that shouldn't work, and knocks it out of the park. Very interested to see how Predator and Tremor turn out.

Slasher is indeed his best variation and it's because like I said in another thread, it's the only one where he has his machete.

Initially I wasn't really impressed when I watched the Twitch stream and I was maybe even a little disappointed. Well from now on, I'm definitely withholding judgement until I experience these characters for myself. Mannnn when I finally got my hands on him I was completely blown away! NRS really made Jason feel like JASON down to the T.

I just feel that his teleport and his "you thought I was dead?!" thing should have been across all variations except the ressurrection shouldn't happen til the final round like with Brutalities. That would have been perfect! Overall his movements, strength and the fact that he doesn't say a word nor moans or groans for the ENTIRE match warrants a huge round of applause for NRS. Great job with Jason guys!

I can't stop playing with Slasher Jason. Man, I was so against the "guests" thing in MK, but this character changed my mind. He's so fun to use. Loving the f+4, 2, f+4, 2, df1 (enhanced) combo -- it drives people mad online.

For some reson, I can't make his x-ray brutality. It connects, but it's just a regular x-ray without the decapitation at the end. Is this because I play the game on PC or am I doing something wrong?

Also, on PC, they totally forgot to list Jason's shoulder dash move (bf2), that is basically one of his other brutalities. Found it by accident.

^ I tried that same Brutality a few times today and I couldn't do it either. I double checked the requirements and everything and it seemed like I had it right. Maybe it is something we're not doing

Not really impressed, tbh. He's a very ho-hum character (of course, I've never been much into horror films, so yeah).

Gameplay-wise, I'm similarly not impressed. Whenever I see someone select Jason online, I automatically know it's going to be a very easy fight (and 99% of the time, it is).

Jason works well in a film, not so well in a video game like this.

He's fun. I feel like I'm playing Jason in a Mortal Kombat game. That's the whole point of adding him and NRS nailed it.

This makes me hope in the next game a Jason-ese character (fighting wise) is introduced. I would hate some of the ideas like the super armor and rise from the dead to be dropped and never explored further.

I think the resurrection thing would have just been perfect for his animation after he loses a round. Like how every character gets up and kind of does a little animation before round 2 begins, I think the lighting strike and him sitting up then finally getting up would have been a perfect animation for getting up after losing a round.

As for the Xray just make sure you are pretty damn far away, his Xray will travel a pretty long way so back up almost as much as you can, then do it, and he should walk all the way up to them, and then it should work.

I love him. They totally nailed him. The Slasher variation leaves so much blood on the ground it's hilarious.

I haven't experimented with the other 2 much yet, but I don't mind the lack of machete. Jason does more than use the machete and it works well with other characters that get weapon-based variations. I think they gave him great gimmicky moves to fit with the character. Relentless' pursuit and teleport play perfectly on the classic movie scenes of Jason coming out of nowhere or characters failing at running away. Unstoppable turns him into a beast that can't be killed, another one of his staples.

I can't wait to see what they do to the Predator now.

I didn't buy Jason but I fucking hate playing against him.

I love slasher. He's been my main and I've gotten some decent combos learned with about 40%damage but he happens to be really slow so I have to use combo breaker too often and getting the pop up can be difficult at times. His gameplay really surprised me with how good it is though.

He's okay. I'm only interested in Tremor though. I want to body scorpion and sub players with him so bad lol.

I dig it.

The Slasher variation's Brutality is enjoyable, and I love all the movie nuances. Also like the massive damage he can dish out.

Slasher is probably my favorite as well, but I thoroughly enjoy fighting against AI Unstoppable.

Let Jason walk for at least 3 full steps then he will do his x-ray brutality.

Me too Slasher I like the best. I also enjoy fighting against the AI Unstoppable. I like the fact after you beat him then he comes back to life and you have to put him down again. LOL
