...according to TRMK, Warner Brothers has been working on the game for some months now... and reshooting all of the characters in HD in a studio in LA?! Check it:

http://www.trmk.org/news/13089/mortal_kombat_hd_kollection_confirmed_in_development.html

As exciting as this prospect sounds (after all, it's not April 1st), I'm trying to keep my excitement down until I see some actual screenshots.

In agreement with the article, my guess is Backbone entertainment has something to do with this, as not only did they put out MKII arcade port for the PS3, but they also created Super Street Fighter II HD Remix... so they've had experience in both areas.

Hopefully we'll hear/read something more concrete soon.

I will cry three days straight if this doesn't happen. Well, not literally, but I will be really dissappointed. Think of how sick all the costumes and stuff will look on real people again, only this time in high quality! Especially Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke from Mortal Kombat 3, It'll look so badass!

Well, I'm just hoping we see something soon to back it all up... if done right, it could be amazing.

I really hope they don't change ANY costumes, because they will jump at the chance to change Reptile's costume IMMEDIATELY. Then, they'll change everyone else's costume and it won't feel like MK1, or MK2, or UMK3.

Although nothing has been officially confirmed, I doubt Pat from TRMK would have published this had he wholeheartedly not believed his sources to be legitimate.

Also as we have an Official News Post regarding this matter I'm going to close this.

Feel free to continue your discussions in that thread!
