So I have been playing this game for two days now...

Overall, a really fun game to play. There is a ton of content to keep you interested.

My only complain is what I have been suspecting this entire time: the game is basically Injustice 2.0. It plays nothing like MK9, which sucks for me because I've been so accustomed to the MK9 fighting style for the past 4 years that playing this game is very awkward. MKX is definitely going to take some getting use to. But if you're used to the way Injustice plays, then you should have a smoother transition than me.

So far the only character I have been practicing with is Kitana (Royal Storm and Assassin). I like her combos, although they are a bit hard to pull off. Her fan throw is much quicker than in MK9, and it's a great zoning tool to use. Mournful Kitana is an awful variation which I won't find myself using going forward. Royal Storm and Assassin are the only ones I am using thus far.

Hoping the Post Man brings my copy around tomorrow morning!
From what I have seen so far, the pacing and overall speed of the game is much faster than that of Injustice. I have Injustice from my free PS+ from a few months ago and found it to be a bit slow and clunky compared to Mortal Kombat. The gameplay videos I have seen seem to show this atleast.

Tell me more about your perspective character loyalist. Did you ever stop and think it's maybe Kitana that plays like an Injustice character?

DAAA HAYYYYMMMMM!

The game doesn't play like Injustice for the simple fact that it doesn't have High,Medium,Low and Heavy attack buttons, MKX has Front punch,Back punch,Front kick,Back kick.

People who say MKX is like injustice are probably the same people who said that Injustice is like MK9. You know who these people are? Idiots.

There will be similarities because it's the same team who worked on both games but the games are different and feel like different games.

Here is why. MKX > MK9 > Injustice. Injustice is the shittiest of them all and you saying that MKX is like Injustice is just insulting to MKX because MKX is 100 times better than Injustice.

I hope Injustice just dies and never returns, instead NRS works on a new game or the next MK game.

Lol it plays nothing like injustice....characters are bigger ... The speed is faster....it's more fluid....unless you are talking bout interactive backgrounds but even then u can block them.

Wow, MKX is really fun and there's a ton of content. How cynical.

Gameplay and game feel is more than just the literal control scheme of the game. Yes, MKX on a control scheme level plays nothing like Injustice, but it does have interactables and over all it's possible that the game actually feels closer to Injustice. It's to be expected, it was NRS's previous game, after all.

Remember, we also have Sonicfox, a tournament player and EVO champ, who mentioned Erron Black reminds him a lot of Batgirl. Similarities are not really impossible.

I wouldn't even be mad about this, the only thing I didn't like in Injustice was mobility, walk speeds for some characters were painfully slow. I had been playing a little MK9 recently , then a few days ago I decided to play injustice for the first time in months and it took a while to get used to how to characters actually move, I found my self just jumping and teleporting to get around the majority of the time since Scorpion's walk speed in that game is so slow lol

Anyway as someone who enjoys how MK9 and Injustice play, im cool with either one :)

Yeah, because my post was very cynical. How about reading the first line of my post again?

I've played through story mode and obviously had to use other fighters as well. They all feel the same. Clunky, and hard to maneuver in comparison to MK9.

Kitana is far from shit tier. Like I mentioned, she has amazing combos that are just a little difficult to pull off at this moment because I am adjusting to the fighting style.

Today I am going to try out Kenshi.

I've been playing it for 2 days and I can't get enough of it lol having an absolute blast in the living towers. Dash cancels are a thing of the past now so i have some adjusting to do since I'm mostly a rush down player. The only thing that reminds me of injustice in this game are the interactables tbh. Theres just so much depth to the gameplay now with the variations its ridiculous.

I have yet to play the game, (1 more day as of this post) but most of the people who have played it said that it leaned more towards MK than Injustice. But NRS will incorporate elements from past games as they continue making games. That's what they do.

Been playing for a week now, as I said on another thread, the game lies closer to MK9 than Injustice but with some differences here and there. It's just it's own for better or worse.

Well I completely disagree. Playing it ever since Friday... And it is nothing like Injustice.

Love the gameplay and even more the different variations
