hmm i think it's a good idea.
if you look at what was done from MK4/G to MKDA it was a big improvement and that was what five years.
from MKDA to MKD was two and that didn't work out so well in the long run. and MKD to MKA was i think either two years also or a little over two years.
but yeah i think they need more time to develop but i also don't think it's up to them, i think it's up to midway when a game is released and not the actual people working on the team.

If you remember about a year or so ago, the MK team announced they would be doing one MK game a year. One fighting (like the traditional games), and then one adventure (like Mythologies, Special Forces, and Shaolin Monks). When MK:A is released it will be (roughly) one year since Shaolin Monks, and one year after that there will be another adventure game...and so on.

well... i heard that they might release MK8 in 2008... so that's 3 years of development... this year which is proven that they are working on MK8, next year, and the year after that...

Well, Boon said that they have already started MK8, but I doubt we'll see it for a while. I'm hoping not until at least 2009. Give some space in between games, so it doesn't become something like a Madden where a new MK is released every year or every other year. I would rather wait 4-5 years and get the best product I could get, then wait 2 years and get some half-assed piece of garbage.

No, they shouldn't take that long to release a game. Perhaps 2 at most and basically do like what they've done within the last few and keep releasing special games like Shaolin Monks etc.

and I actually don't think MKDA was anything super significant over MK4/GOLD. MKDA loses it's replay value I think once everything is unlocked.

They should take their time, IMO 2.5 to 3 years would be good.

Unless they make the games smaller and do more upgrading instead of reinvention.

Well it depends. I am literally dying because Armageddon is coming out in October. I prefer the Summer Season for MK games to come out. However, I don't like every year for an MK game to come out. I like to wait a year for a MK game to come out. Two years is too much, three years is crazy, and four years is just really fucking dumb, lol.

I think two to two-and-a-half to threes years would be best, as they are always seeming to be rushing out MK games when they should be taking care of all the problems they have.

I beleive that they should stick to how they are doing it. I beleive it took 4 years for MKDA to come out because Midway kinda fell out you know.....John Tobias was gone and Special forces and Mythologies didnt do too well on sales, MK4 was one of the best sellers though.....however....I think they were running out of steam and thats why it took so long to recooperate their ideas and come together to make a great game with MKDA. But however now I think Midway is on a freakin roll and dont need to stop really, I mean if they take too long then their original ideas that are good will start to look bad to them and they'll keep changing it like the MK Devastation is doing right now. I think they should release Armageddon this October....and then another adventure game next year (maybe on next gen), and then the next MK game in the series would hopefully be released in 2008, like another member said in an earlier post.....Midway has started to work on MK8, so therefore it would be 3 working years once it was released in 2008, even though it is actually two years from the release of Armageddon........peace
