Should the guests be similar, or different?
MK9's guests were Freddy Krueger and Kratos, two characters I'm sure few expected to see in the same game, particularly one that had nothing to do with either one of them. Should MKX's guests be as different from one another, or should they match, this time?
By match, I mean for example two sci-fi characters like the Alien and the Predator, or Robocop and the Terminator, or two horror icons, etc. Should NRS do what Soul Calibur 3 did and have guests from the same series?
To me, it's awesome to see two completely different guests in a game where they both stick out, but "fitting" matches can be fun, too, depending on the characters, like the aforementioned ones. But say, Ryu Hayabusa vs Jago? Now that would be boring as hell.
So basically, which non-MK characters do you want to see fight one another in MKX?

Well Ryu and Jago would be boring because they're so similar so obviously I would choose different. If you had chosen different characters like maybe Fulgore and Jago I wouldn't have minded it as much, but they've already said no to platform exclusives.
Honestly i'm expecting the characters to be horror icons again. I don't really know who they would pick from a game franchise that's not console exclusive. We'll just have to wait and see.

Probably has something to do with being a fan of that respective character, and the series they come from. Those horror icons are considered "icons" for a reason. They have a large fanbase, and are very recognizable. You can't go wrong there. Let us not forget that Freddy was the highest selling DLC character, after all.
I'm a big Friday the 13th fan, and would love to see Jason in. He's my personal number one pick. He's absolutely unique. You can describe him several ways, very briefly, and people will know exactly who you are referring to: "The one with the hockey mask" "The guy that uses the machete" "The guy from Crystal Lake" "His mom was the killer in the first one" "The one with the camp counselors" etc. Usually you'd only need to say one of those things, and people will know exactly who you are talking about, that requires the person to be unique.
Beyond that, if Freddy sold well, it means there's a good degree of horror fans who play Mortal Kombat. Which means Jason has a solid chance of selling well too(along with Predator etc.). The theme just fits for these types of characters to guest in a game filled with violence and magic. Jason for the most part has a lot of supernatural qualities to him, and those can be expressed in a game like this, and his violent background and the dark tone of the series, is a decent fit.
