Well, should this game take place a loooong time after MKA story wise? So some poeple either die of old age, or have died since MKA? That way it will prevent some characters from returning? Because they say they will kill off some people, yet, they have done that in the past and some how they end up in the game again.

Or do you like having the window open for classic characters to come back?

Actually, if they did, they could make an adventure game about what happened in between. It could show how many of the old guys will die.

But then, they could just make it a few years after Armageddon.

I'd kinda like to see MK8 be the next Shaolin Tournament, taking place 50 years after MK1. The fact that Outworld is no longer even challenging us and the champion, Liu Kang, can't compete because he's dead makes the potential that much more interesting. Scorpion could still return because he doesn't age, and Sub-Zero could be the next generation bearer of the title, rather than the grandmaster.

All the Mortal Kombats aren't far apart (timewise). So that means that you would be an imbecile to think that it would take place long after.

YOU AGAIN!?

Okay, then. I just saw a post by you in PNF's thread.
Dude, he didn't say he thought, he said if it should. It would be cool if it did, and although you did post your opinion, you did it in a negative way. Next time, put some construction criticism, and not negative comments.

I see it taking place far in the future or pre MK1 the best options.

It should definitely be far away from where it is now to have reason why a lot of the cast's current characters aren't there.

Well hey if Mk8 turns out to take place a few years after MKA it should be like a war between those protecting Edenia( and whatever realms the good guys control) and the bad guys who want to have control of the realms. I could see Noob Saibot and Sektor(assuming they survive MKA) teaming up and creating a cyber demon Tekunin army, maybe aided by Shinnok(if he survives) and his demon minions. Othe characters I could see being in MK8 is Reiko( takes Kahn's throne) and maybe the centaurs(would be a nice change from the shokan( although Motaro might not have four legs again due to pixels and whatever prevents him from having two extra legs.)
