No one wants Hsu Hao in MK8, not even the Midway likes him. He was just created out of an inexplainable boringness. Completely forgetable character. Hsu Hao, die in armageddon.

Hsu Hao is more developed as a background character than most protagonist characters are. I would not mind him over Scorpion or Noob Saibot in MK8.

Ah, that's just bias, man. Well, It's your opinion, so I can't knock it. But, Hsu Hao had no personality whatsoever, who only does as he is told. He's a step uo from a drone. Say what you will about Scorpion having a stale storyline, but at least he does what he does, because he feels he has to, or because he wants to. Noob Saibot, I might have agreed with you if they hadn't started trying new stuff with him during the last two games.

you're the same guy who posted in the "Should frost return" thread mocking me about what i said about making a hsu hao thread after i told him that threads are never stupid to make unless you're talking about hsu hao. but seeing how im in a good mood, found out i'm a switch hitter in softball, i'm going to skip the huge insult and answer your question : )

no, hsu hao was never popular with anyone, he had the hardest konquest to play in Deadly Alliance, he's slow, and he has no specials that entertain people. therefore no...

That's hardly a legitimate excuse for the way his story has been butchered to death, especially since he was once a character that had good potential. But now, he's just a gimmick and only a gimmick used to please fanboys and fangirls.

Anyway, should Hsu Hao return in MK8? Imo, he shouldn't. I never cared for the character. I felt he has served his purpose in the storyline, and the direction of his MKA ending doesn't exactly do anything positive for him.

Not saying it is, but the point I'm making is, he has a purpose. It's his own, and at the risk of sounding cliche, he's a spirit of vengeance.

What's Hsu Hao's motives? to serve the red Dragon? What's in it for him at the end of the day? He doesn't even seem to have an agenda.

I believe that Hsu Hso is the worst Mortal Kombat character to ever be created. (movado's second. Tanya's third) Hsu Hso is also the MK character with the most resembelance to someone from the village people. Crap story, Crap character, if Hsu hso is in MK8 I may not buy it.

to me that doesn't make any sense. why would midway create a guy but then hates him? i mean really, yeah the people who played as hsu hao hate him, but his own creators? god. and like how they said that they don't even really know too much about quan chi. now thats stupid. midway creators can be stupid at times. furious

Common sense, really... If they liked Kintaro, they'd have brought him back.

Wrong. Hsu Hao is one of my favourites. I wouldn't mind seeing him back. And as Chrome said, he's more developed than most protagonists.

I only heard that it was Ed Boon that wasn't too big on Kintaro. I don't think the entire MK Team dislikes him.

And tgrant and Chrome are correct, Hsu Hao is actually a fairly good character. Mortal Kombat really lacks humans that I buy as dangerous. It seems that whenever a character like Stryker, Hsu Hao, Mavado or Mokap come along (yes, I consider Mokap a worthwhile character, to a degree), people don't give them a chance because they don't have a gimmick to them. They're just some of the best martial artists Earthrealm has to offer, with their motives or allegiances to either staying alive in the face of supernatural terror, or serving a greater purpose. Hsu Hao serves a greater purpose, and I think it was a mistake to drop the Red Dragon storyline so soon.

Should Hsu Hao return? Personally, I think it is too late to do too much with him. I mean, he's been killed, the Red Dragon story is murky. I think it might just be better to give his presence and fighting styles to new fighters, and recycle his aura.
