Yes, this has been said many times. However, I am not pulling so much for MK3, but for MK4. I even thought that it would be cool for a Shaolin Monks sequel to go as far back as the Great Kung Lao and the tournaments past. However, it will probably not be made in this generation, with MKA and all, so I look for another to be made in the new generation, and possibly there will be a Shaolin Monks sequel to MK8 and the games that follow. Shaolin Monks or not, I look for another type of adventure game from MK, possibly the ninja clans.

Mmmm.... another MK SM but in this time the Principal character are Scorpion and Sub-Zero with two different stories or one story, and game style of SM... no?

i think it will be based off U/MK3/T

where you can pick between the earth's chosen warriors (kang, lao, cage, sonya, stryker, kabal, sub-zero, nightwolf, and jax)and you have to save the earth from shao khans invasion with secret playables unlocked at the end of the game (scorpion, raiden, kitana,and jade)

I think that the game should take place during MK4 as well, if not, then maybe during Deadly Alliance.

If it took place during MK4/GOLD, you could select from maybe Sub, Johnny, Liu, Kai, Kung Lao, Jax, Sonya.....just some possibilities for playable characters....or maybe just be able to play as a certain few and then be able to unlock the others after beating the game or seomthing.......I think that Sub Zero should be a character focused on highly in this game.....or hell, maybe this game would have enough memory for every character to have their own story and their own unique game and enemies, like Shaolin monks was cool but when you played as Sub Zero and Scorpion....Raiden and everybody was still talkin to Liu Kang and Kung Lao, that would be cool if they changed that to make it that every character was unique with their own story and Konquest. I think that Sub Zero's story would be cool to revolve around him suspecting his brother was Noob who helped Shinnok regain control of his powers and rise from the Netherrealm, and then maybe he could battle with Sektor over the Dragon Medallion and recreate the Lin Kuei like the story says....that would be cool, there could be a lot of cool possiblitlies if the game took place around MK4/Gold, or MKDA.....peace

Hi, i'm new but i'v played alot of MK.

It will be cool to see whats next in MKSM. There should be more characters in the games. Shaolin Monks had to little. And more fatalities for the minor characters.

I realy hope we get many of the MK4/gold or Mk3/UMK3/MKT characters.

Ya they kould have different stories for both characters like if they were to meet up, you kould play both storylines and you kould unlock other characters and play their stories.

I think that it'd have to be a mix between MK3/4 and all the upgrades that Midway made for it...Just due to how the end of the first Monks game ended...And yeah I think a seperate story line that intertwines between two or more different teams of protectors would be cool...A team of Jax/Sonya, Liu/Kung, Sub/Scorpion...Or you could mix it up and the stories wouldn't refer to your substitute hero in the pair as the set one. So, if you can unlock Johnny and Kitanna for instance they're not called Jax or Sonya or something.
