I noticed when some of the characters attack such as Kotal and Ferra/Torr attack power ups they damage themselves do you think this will take away the flawless victory if they do not recieve damage from the other players but only from themselves ?

Yes, definitely. If you want a flawless vistory you'll have to avoid these kind of moves.

Skarlet had a move where she cut herself and hurled a glob of blood at the opponent for decent damage. She took out a small chunk of her health in the process, and that will prevent you from getting a flawless.

Conversely, Shang Tsung's throw (MK9) and Soul Steal special (MK:DA, MK:A, MKvsDC) drained health from the opponent and restored Shang's health a bit. If he got hit, but drained enough to net full health by the end of the round, it still counted as a Flawless Victory.

So, by precedent, if a character has any damage at all from any source, they will not get a Flawless Victory. And if a character has a means to heal, and they heal to full before the round ends, then they will get a Flawless Victory.

I'm aware of the latter. In just curious if they will change it since using your own abilities that damage yourself and not receiving damage from the opponent should constitute as a flawless victory. Or so that's my two cents on the subject.
