Pretty sure because Mileena,Ermac and Classic SZ were unlockable characters in the arcade version of UMK3

I had two secrets fights in the MK3 ladder. Mileena early on then Ermac near the top. Mileena was fairly easy but got snapped by Ermac.

Yeah her, Ermac, and Classic Sub-Zero were secret unlockable characters in UMK3.

Still kind of gets me as to why they aren't using the NPC's for some of these secret fights, the towers aren't 100% accurate anyway, so Rain or Sindel would have bee a less underwhelming secret fights for the UMK3 tower, I mean Rain did appear in the console versions IIRC, or at least he is in my Sega version of the game lol

I probably sound like a broken record but I just feel like fighting the NPC's as some of these secret fights (Baraka for MK2, Rain and Sindel for UMK3, and Tanya for MK4) would have been less underwhelming than fighting characters we fight all the time lol

Ah that makes sense about mileena being the secret fight but yeah it is definately underwhelming indeed. I wonder who will be the secret fight for the MK4 tower? They seem to be sticking somewhat to the originals with reptile for MK1, kitana(mournful/jade variant) for MK2 and ermac/mileena for UMK3.

The only secret characters I remember from MK4 were noob saibot and meat but I don't think they were secret fights just secret playable characters Unless they draw on someone from MK Gold which was an upgrade of MK4 who was secret in that anyone know?

I believe Sektor was the hidden playable character in Gold

Goro was playable in MK4 by using a certain way to select Shinnok.

At this rate with the PSN being down for me, for the past four days, I won't be able to play this tower...fucking bullshit.

I don't know if I have just improved but holy shit the Goro Invasion Boss seems so much easier than the others, I can get massive damage and survive the whole time just about everytime :D I should be able to grind out that 1,000 hits on invasion boss with Goro.

I'm using Kano as my main but I'm an average player and I couldn't even break his shield the first time I tried.

I don't think I broke it until my 2nd try. I just used Slasher Jason. Out of the 10 times I fought him he did spank me like 2 or 3 times, but the other times I did surprisingly well lol

You can weaken his shield pretty good with EX shoulder charge, his 111 combo, his 112 combo, and his 122 combo work well for breaking it and once you do break it his b122, and his f42 combo are great for juggling him and getting huge damage.

The trickiest part is just avoiding his punch walk and grab attacks.

Thunder God Raiden. 1122 is an 10 hit combo and destroys the Invasion Boss. The Invasion Boss ends up full screen away and always runs up to another 1122 ad infinium. With this technique you can easily survive 30 seconds.

NRS are pathetic! Why the hell they keep doing that shit ? Why don't you provide real secret fights with real hidden characters like Noob, Smoke, Chameleon etc.. ? Why call those fights secret ? They are regular, nothing secret in them. YOU SUCK. WAKE THE FUCK UP!

Pretty harsh, but I pretty much agree. These secret fights are pretty much jokes, I get they are nice nods to the secret fights/characters in the first trilogy but they are just underwhelming, MK9 did them a lot better, for obvious reasons lol

Mileena was a piece of cake, but I haven't come across Ermac yet and I've done it three times now. Must be missing something.

It's not just Brutalities. Doing 2 different ones from Reptile got Mileena for me, but following her (who I beat), i screwed up one finisher, did one more brutality, then 2 more fatalities before I got Ermac - who completely wrecked my shit. You need at least one Fatality to trigger it, I think. Maybe a Brutality and a fatality after Mileena, or 2 fatalities?

The secret fights and just the MK towers have been pretty meh. The only reason I even do them is for the title.

I've done the tower once and fought and defeated Milleena and Ermac. I used 1 brutality and 1 faction kill and the rest fatalities (missed one though) using Scorpion.

How hard would it have been for
NRS to make these secrets fine actually worth a damn. I'm so disappointed.

MK1 Tower could have easily had the Klassic Reptile instead of normal MKX Reptile.

MK2 Tower could have had several options here, the story mode Smoke Skin on a Scorpion with only the spear usable. That would have been easy and cool as hell. Or Baraka as the secret fight would have been cool and he's already in the game in story mode. Simple. But we get MKX Kitana with her Mournful Variation cause it's a nod to Jade...LOL Really?!

MK3 Tower. Let's see Rain would have been easy as he's already in story mode. Or Klassic Mileena or Klassic Sub-Zero, or hell even Sindel. But NO instead we get normal MKX Mileena and normal MKX Ermac? Really?!
