What if he kills Quan Chi, then wants a sandwich. If he truly would disintegrate (which he isn't going to) after completing his lifelong goal, he could probably make a new lifelong goal and remain the pissed off and boring bastard that he is.

Suppose he does kill Quan Chi. As his reward for destroying the sorcerer the Elder Gods transport his soul to heaven to stay with his family.

Maby Shang Tsung or some new evil doer kills some other guy and his family so that guy becomes the new Scorpion and it becomes more like something from Iron Man.

When Tony Stark started drinking and Jim Rhodes took over as Iron Man. Maby something like that will happen. Hanzo is replaced as Scorpion.

he will kill quan chi and his soul's fury will be quenched and the demons that allowed scorpion to escape the netherrealm will return for his soul and he will die once more and not return then his son will take up the mantle of scorpion and use his skills to help protect the earth from whatever may endanger it

Even though I'm his biggest fan, I want him to die in the process of killing Quan Chi. But of course his soul will be reunited with his family. He needs a happy ending.
