Yeah, I don't think the author was referring to the scorpion lady we all know we wanted to bang back in the day, but rather a female equivalent to Scorpion. If there is one, I hope she doesn't have the name Scorpina, and I hope the similarities aren't obvious.

Well if this is about the prospect of there being a female Scorpion....I would have to say no.
I used to think the idea of Quan Chi turning Scorpion's deceased wife into a spectre and using her against him was a good idea (provided though, that she neither looked nor played anything like Scorpion), but I've gotten over that.
Scorpion needs to get over the whole whining about his family & revenge thing.

the whole reason scorpions exists is to avange his family he cant get over it or he wouldn't exist. the revenge thing is his whole exstance.

That's one of the things that sucks about him now. He needs to find a new purpose and new reason to exist. Because his constant bitching about his family/clan & revenge has gotten stale and annoying.

Like XiahouDun84 said, because of that, Scorpion has gotten stale and boring. He should get his revenge and take a new direction. I personally think that his character needs to go back to the way it was before MK4, to when he was a character that had nobility in him. I think that Vogel and the other storywriters should take some influence from works like the Bansenshukai to fix Scorpion's currently horrid personality.

Yes, I am aware that the MK ninja characters are based off of the Ninja stereotypes, but I would rather for Scorpion's character that they derive from things from reality. I feel that it would make Scorpion more legitimate and more interesting.

Scorpion doesn't even follow the ninja stereotype that well either. Ususally, even the stereotypical ninja characters have some sense of discipline or skill.
Scorpion now is really just a beserker who happens to wear a mask.

Yes, you're right. That's something I had brought up somewhere else before. Scorpion seems to use no strategy at all. At least he could've tried to study his surroundings such as Shang Tsung's Palace, but nooooo. He had to hastily enter the palace so that he can kill Quan Chi, only to get ambushed by Drahmin and Moloch.

there is only one thing that this person could probably beleive that scorpina was an actaul character. there is this one website where the creators made like little web dolls out of video game characters and that he started to make up his own characters and scorpina was one of them. that's the only reason i could think this loser would belive such character existed.

and not to mention that if the creators wanted to put scorpion's wife somewhere in the game, they would obviously give her a better name rather than... scorpina.

Exactly. And did Scorpion learn anything from this ambush? No. Later in Deception and Armageddon, we see him blindly attacking. Scorpion's strategy is the equivilent of running into a wall over and over again and hoping sooner or later it'll break.



I was going to post something, but you summed up how bad Scorpion's story/character has gotten well enough. I have very little to add now.
