Safe bet for Kombat Pack 2.

I heard that Ed Boon practically confirmed a second kombat pack on the stream yesterday and Rain.

I think we can bet on

Fujin- Obvious. He looks awesome in MKX and has a unique moveset.

Li Mei- Her redesign in the story is amazing. Its not slutty but still is true to her style. It is extremely detailed and she is voiced by Kelly Hu. She has a big part in the story. She looks too great and too detailed to not be DLC. And to the people who say she isnt a fighter in this timeline, thats is false. She said she tried to fight off Mileena but failed due to the amulet.

Rain- Semi-Confirmed. He has a good redesign and a lot of people want him.


The last spot I think will go to one of two.

Bo Rai Cho- They made him perfect in the story. He was still a drunk but wasnt over the top silly. His design is pretty great and Ed has always seemed to like him.

Cyrax- Boon has hinted to him a few times. I would be surprised to not see any cyborg playable.


As for the rest

All of the revenants are just their MK9 selves.

Frost and Sareena arent too detailed. They could be dlc, but I dont see it. I definitely see them returning in MK11 though.

Baraka- Wasnt too greatly redesigned but never say never.
I think you're giving Li Mei way too much credit.
She mei or mei not be, but I think she's more likely of any of the 3D era characters to make it.

Well, we would obviously get another female and Sindel is in her MK9 outfit. Frost is in Subbys costume and Sareena is in a modified version of her Armageddon outfit. Li Mei has a WHOLE NEW costume.
Just a little reminder...
I know most of us would like to, but we can't overlook Spawn.

I dont think we'll get a kombat pack 2. Probably like injustice we'll just get an extra couple of characters.

Fujin is the most obvious choice. I also think Li Mei's complete redesign also gives her a good chance.

I'm hoping for Sareena too. A guy can hope lol.
Spawn is one guest character I'd like due to actually loving the character.

Predator works great too because he's where they got the ideas for Cyrax/Sektor.

Tremor isnt in the story mode at all, DLC could be someone else who has nothing to do with the story

I'd love to see spawn make it in. He was easily my fovorite guess character in soul calibur.

Personally I would like to see kabal and shang tsung return in a kombat pack 2, but I really highly doubt they would make it in over the other names floating sround. Especially fujin, rain or even Reiko.

Rather have Sareena than Li Mei.
Yeah Li Mei got a redesign but so did Master of Jobbing Via FlashBacks: Baraka so I doubt that plays a big role over who might be DLC.

I don't think there are any safe bets.

-Cyrax is likely but Predator is coming. For all we know He could have a Mournful Variation.
-Spawn is possible but we're already set with 2 guests and he might not be that much of a draw.
-People want Fujin. And with good reason his scene left a good impression on everybody
-Rain gets teased and hinted at frequently by Boon. A lot. Too much.
-Frost/Sareena/Li Meh are there because NRS still likes them but their chances aren't exactly great no matter the costume or voice actress
-Sindel is strangely the only undead NPC you fight with a costume update
-And of course it's known how I feel about Baraka lol

Hell we're not even 100 percent sure that we're getting another Kombat Pack (though we should)

Look at the difference in detail between Li Mei, Sareena, and Frost.
Who says? It's not mandatory to have a female in a kombat pack.

And Frost looks just as good as Li Mei does.

those safe bets could be completely incorrect. Remember when people predicted it was either Cyrax/Sektor or Cyrax/Smoke,or Fujin/Reiko for the Kombat Pack? If anything,Shang Tsung has the biggest chances to return at this point: A good amount of mentions in character intros,several cameos in endings(in Ermac's he's even alive,which is akin to that old Vogel tweet where he stated Tsung was still alive) as well as the only MK1 character not to return,in a game that has 8 of them unlocked from the get go,and 1 of them is already on disc dlc,who has no appearances in Story or mentions,
guys,at least 2 of the returning dlc characters are NOT npcs or in story.

Really hoping for Sareena, Fujin, Reiko and Li Mei. I'm guessing Rain makes it, which I wouldn't mind. I can't believe they'd leave money on the table and say no to more DLC. MK9 sold more than any previous MK and this one has scored higher than MK9 thus far and appears better in most conceivable ways. I'd be surprised if it didn't sell well. More DLC seems like a borderline no brainer.

Yeah but thats how NRS has done it so far with Scarlet, Zatanna, and Tanya.

-And Fred Tatasciore will be voicing Tremor so I'm lookin forward to hear what he'll do there.
-Turns out Jennifer Hale did voice Tanya so neat.
-Steve Blum voices..Reptile? And Bo Rai'Cho?! Damn. props to Steve Blum.
-Greg Eagles does Jax and Baraka. Baraka sounded better here than in 9. More growly and gruff.
-Annd Troy Baker voices Erron Black, Shinnok and Fujin.

So many of the supporting characters were voiced by other cast members voicing the main playable characters. According to the writer that is tongue

Interesting to know Fred/Tremor was the only exception although he probably did minor voice work like grunts and roars.

But it is most likely to be expected.
As others have said, MK9 had Skarlet. Injustice had Batgirl and then Zatanna. And MKX has Tanya so far.

Not to mention that there's 1 female for every 3 male characters in MKX's roster
