lol, why u can't get DLC guy? I got lots, just like everybody else in aus who has a US account.

I don't have a US account, my internet is dodgy and isn't there some bullshit in regards to paying for US content? Like, I couldn't use my own credit card for it and had to buy PSN cards or some such?
I never really looked into it because of the aforementioned dodgy internet.

Concerning the Retro Costumes:

I honestly believe that they will continue the "DLC Retro" costumes as long as they haven't been already one.

I seriously and highly doubt that they will once again deliver the same retros that have already been recreated for this game. Unless (for some crazy reason) they already come for free as extra unlockable costumes, I seriously doubt they will return.

Retros that will probably not be done for this game (but hopefully will!!!) such as Sonya's MK3, MK4 or MK1 costume, or Shang Tsung's or Kano's (for example) might probably get their shot in the next game.

Concerning the faces:

This is an interesting point that has been heavily debated before.

If this new game is any hint, I think they will finally follow a specific pattern with the faces/looks of their characters. Like you sad, many of the MK9 characters (such as Sonya, Kano, Baraka, Raiden, Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, etc) already look like their previous MKvsDC incarnation.

Also, a few like Jax (who look absolutely NOTHING like his MKvsDC self) have gone back to resemble (conveniently) their MK2 or MK3 looks. New Jax does bring to mind MK2 Jax when you compare them side-by-side (a shame, 'cause I loved MKvsDC Jax).

You've also got a few that seem to be perfectly stablished, such as Mileena (following her MKD features) and even Sindel (who only looks older because of the technologies new possibilities).

I think they are finally deciding on following a pattern to keep consistency. MK9 and MKvsDC Sonya, for example, highly resemble MK4 and MK3 in the essential features.

However, I wouldn't mind another drastic change for a few faces such as Kung Lao's, Kitana's, and Jade's (not that she looks bad, however, I still prefer her MKD features).

If they return as playable, I'm sure they will first feature a generic zombie-dead kind of look before you can actually access their "resurrected" or "back to normal" new costumes, etc.

Regarding Sonya's controversial lack of a T-Shirt

She better.

I still can't believe that they don't seem to know their characters as much as the fans.

Concerning Mileena's pants

It would be nice for a change, though, I wouldn't mind if she didn't.

Real question is if Kitana will get some and if Sonya will keep hers. Judging by the extreme unnecessary over-sexualization of the females in this game, I'm actually afraid they will take it one step further in the next game and ruin some characters by giving them unfitting designs.

Your internet obviously works if you can download anything from PSN then you can download this, accounts cost nothing to make but obviously you have to buy foreign point codes which are readily available from many safe and reputable sites, it's a simple process, look it up, or suffer a future devoid of delicious content for no raisin.
And it is delicious.

I wouldn't be sure of retros....maybe they'd reincorporate some designs from the 3D games as alternates (kind of like Mileena's alternate costume.)

As for the faces, I really hope they stay consistent. It's pretty ridiculous how different most of the characters look from, say, 6 years ago.
