Reiko is (in my opinion) the coolest character, and I would like to see what becomes of him...
I would like it to be revealed that Reiko is Shao Kahn's son, and the rightful heir to the throne of Outworld... but that's just my opinion, how about all you other Reiko-fans

I would not want him to relate to Shao Kahn in any other way than his army general, BUT having Reiko taking over the throne would be very cool. Only he can replace Shao Kahn with dignity and honour the title of Emperor of Outworld, no other of the MK cast could ever do that! Reiko is ruthless, a tactician and a badass warrior! And it would make sence, since he is longing for the throne so much...

If done right, he could perhaps become the new Emperor of Outworld.
As for an idea to have him be Shao Kahn's son, nah. It wouldn't really do any justice to either character and would stir up more questions that aren't needed. As for the "rightful heir to the throne of Outworld", that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, namely because Shao Kahn took the throne from Onaga. Onaga is the one who was the former ruler of Outworld.

..............well ...enough about what I said, I wasn't really thinking clear...I wanna hear from you guys, so I can dream some more, and sorry if what I said doesn't make sense...all i want is to see what the hell happens to reiko, cause Armageddon did nothing to answer the questions MK4 left us with...and I hope Reiko, as my favorite character, has a better role in the story than just another of kahn's henchmen

Reiko is definitely one of those very ambiguous characters. Hopefully his bio will clear a lot of things up, but then again, it'll likely just be about him wanting to take the throne from Shao Kahn. We at least know that Reiko is thousands and thousands of years old and is from Outworld. But the whole connection to Shinnok is very unclear and the switching sides from Shinnok to Shao Kahn is also confusing.

Don't really care much for him, so I will say.....kill kahn and take the sacred throne already! If not, garbage him.that's my opinion. nothing against reiko fan's, just not interested in him no more.

Hm...*hiss*... Reiko taking the throne would work very well if executed properly... And he gets forced into a deal with Shinnok, point is that the throne should not be the only focus.

I do/donot agree with you on this statement. What i don't get is what other focus' are there? also i really wouldn't want Shiinnok and Reiko to side with eachother. Shinnok is more worthy of a better ally.

Thing is, he does not have a lot of life expectancy. Vogel mentioned they did not really like the character at all, they just threw him in to be there instead of Noob Saibot.
He will most probably not make it to the next Mortal Kombat. And frankly, he barely has anything to make him a decent character.

I meant that Shinnok forces Reiko into an alliance with him, dud to Reiko's status as a Brother of Shadow. And an emporor and associate is a worthy ally. The focus part was about trying to show more to him than a wannabe emporor (As of MKA.)I do/donot agree with you on this statement. Now, you've said everything right.
His storyline sucks all the way.

See, that's the thing, we think he sucks, because not much has been revealed about him; but how do we know his storyline sucks if we don't even know it??? That's what I wanna see!

It has to do with Reiko's affiliation with Shao Kahn and the joke about his fetish for Shao Kahn's helmet.

Reiko is also one of my favorties he was a strong and well put together.........but his story plot never appealed to me just a military general that sounds kinda slacked to me, they should bring him back as leader of a new clan, army, or mecenaries something (and his own helmet/outfit). Reikos a badass and should be given a strong story line so that he is remebered in his own way other than a general.

what's more to reveal about? you know thats what i hate about some of you favorite character fans... you think everything is not yet revealed about your favorite characters but they are.
god, that's so annoying
but to get on with my point, everything what chrome said is true. a thrown-in character will not see themselves on the mk8 roaster. so that's it basically.

¿Reiko's Future? This one:
I was wondering how old Reiko is.
The original fight against the elder gods was shortly after Shinnok’s fall from grace, when earthrealm was still new.
If Reiko does comes back, possibly a tie in with Sindel. Edenian origins?
Reiko's MK4 bio:
“Once a general in Shinnok's armies, Reiko lead the forces of darkness into the battle against the Elder Gods. Once thought killed during that onslaught, he resurfaces and joins the battle against Earth's forces.”

Yeah, I know what you're getting at with his age. It's definitely something quite ambigious. I don't think he has Edenian origins though, especially since his trading card bio states his origin as Outworld. He is someone that could've had more done with him in MK4 itself, but his potential has somewhat been put to waste.

sadly...
I had originally thought Kahn had used dna from sindel and himself and made himself a son, kinda like how he made Mileena from Kitana and a tarkartan (why he chose one of them, i dont know). It would have ment Reiko is heir to two thrones and ties Kahn to the Edenian soverinty without being married to Sindel. I mean, he has the glowing eyes and the black and white hair, he is strong, like Kahn, but quick, like Sindel, the balance of the two... it made sense in my mind.
Anyway, with the project im taking part in, we have Posted Reikos bio. His fins should go read, they may enjoy what they see.
