We all know when an opponent jumps into Raiden's traps, they get electrocuted. So would Raiden get electrocuted if he was to jump into his own trap(s)?

Once the traps are deployed raidens ability to jump is no longer avaible , so to answer your question : no

I'm kidding I have no idea , it might be like subzero when he touches his ice clone

Have you never played an MK game before or is this a joke topic?

Yes, that question is dumb...
However if we are talking about the traps... Will it be actually usefull?
I mean the trap ball can be, but the 2balls, "trapline" combo looks pretty damn slow.
What do you think?

Pretty sure I've played MK1 through MK9 and Raiden doesn't have his traps in any of them, so I wouldn't know if it's possible.

Not a joke question at all. What made you think that?

I was thinking the same thing. Raiden obviously won't be affected by his traps the same way Sub Zero never froze when he got in contact with his clones. That would be stupid.

I have to agree that I don't see any situation where those traps could be deployed in time without being facemelted by your opponent. I hope they will speed up the process.

Does anyone who actually played the game have any insight on how they work ingame?

Since I first saw this variation ive had doubts based on how slow the moveset looks. Kamikaze/rushdown players would destroy....think of it like a team that is godlike at rushi g with a running back, yet suck at passing. If they get behind theres now way to carch up rushing and they are doomed. If Raiden gets out in a hole in the early onset those traps are useless when trying to be the aggressor.
